    Refer to the following to respond to errors occur while using VOD Station. If the problem persists, then use the customer inquiry feature from the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.

    How to respond to each error

    The following describes each error and how to resolve them.

    Related to media conversion

    The following are error messages that may occur during media file conversion.

    • UPLOAD_ERROR:
      Cause: Error occurred while uploading encoding-completed output video file to the output Object Storage bucket
      Resolution: Try again after refreshing, or checking if the file path specified in the category from Object Storage's bucket list contains the output file folder.

    • DOWNLOAD_ERROR:
      Cause: The source video file in Object Storage is modified or deleted during encoding
      Resolution: Check if the source file is in the relevant folder in Object Storage, upload the file again if necessary before proceeding.

    • FILE_NOT_FOUND:
      Cause: The source video file selected does not exist in Object Storage
      Resolution: Check if the source file is in a relevant folder in Object Storage. Upload the source file again or select another file to proceed.

    • FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS:
      Cause: An output video file with the same name exists in the output Object Storage
      Resolution: Change the name of the file with the same name in the output Object Storage bucket.

    • WRONG_INPUT_FILE:
      Cause: The source video file with unsupported format is used
      Resolution: Use a video file with the format supported by VOD Station. Refer to the Service specifications for supported file specifications.

    • TRANSCODING_ERROR:
      Cause: The source video file's properties contain an abnormality and the file can't be converted
      Resolution:

      • It is possible that the source video file's header can't be extracted, or the video's duration is abnormal. Use a program that can check the properties of video files such as MediaInfo to see if the file uses a video or audio format supported by VOD Station, or if the duration in the header and video/audio playback duration match. Refer to the Service specifications for supported file specifications.
      • If the cause can't be determined, then use the customer inquiry feature from the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.

    Related to VOD streaming

    The following are error messages that may occur related to VOD streaming.

    • URL creation call was unsuccessful.
      Cause: The file is lost or an error occurred in the bucket in Object Storage
      Resolution: Try again after refreshing, or checking if the file is in the relevant location in the bucket list in Object Storage.
