Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) glossary

Available in VPC
There are a few terms you need to know to use VPC. The terms and their descriptions are as follows.
Access Control Group (ACG)
A firewall service that controls and manages network access among servers, it works using the Stateful method.
Internet gateway
This is a point of contact from a subnet to the internet. A public subnet with the internet gateway connection can access the internet.
NAT Gateway
This is a connection point used for external communication in a private subnet with restricted internet access, and IP exposure is minimized.
Network Access Control List (Network ACL)
A service that controls network access among subnets, it works using the Stateless method.
Route table
Routing rule data where network paths are set up by entering the destination and target
Subnet
It means a network space fragmented according to purpose within the VPC assigned. Network addresses between /16-28 can be assigned.
Virtual Private Gateway
It's a secure connection point between a VPC and external network device. The usability is enhanced when connected to customer's on-premise environment.
VPC
It is a service that provides customer-only networks that are completely logically separated on the public cloud, with the IP network space up to /16 available (IP range: RFC 1918)
VPC peering
It's a private connection service to other VPCs that provides one-way communication.
