    Article Summary

    Available in VPC

You can use VPC peering to communicate with other VPCs in an internal network through private IPs, without going through internet communication. It allows you to enjoy the exclusive network expansion effect as well as secure communication.

    • VPC peering is available only within the same region.
    • Communication is available only in one direction, so if a two-way communication such as TCP is required, 2 VPC peerings must be created by switching the VPC on the requesting end and the VPC on the accepting end.
    • VPC peering is not connected in a transitive relationship, and you can't communicate with other VPCs or external network through a VPC that has been peered.

You can see the list if you have one or more VPC peerings in operation. If you don't have any VPC peerings that have been created and are in operation, then the list is not displayed in the page.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's VPC environment, click the Services > Networking > VPC menus, in that order.
    2. Click the ** VPC peering** menu.
    3. When the list of created VPC peerings appears, view the summarized information or click the VPC peering to check the details.

      • Requesting VPC: Select the VPC to request VPC peering (originating point of the communication).
      • Accepting VPC: Select the VPC to accept VPC peering (destination point of the communication).
        • If you select My account, then you can select another VPC that belongs to your account.
        • If you select Other account, then enter the accepting party's account, VPC ID, and VPC name.

      • Creating: status in which the VPC peering is being created with the information entered by the user
      • Running: status in which the creation of the VPC peering has been completed with the information entered by the user, and the VPC peering is available for use

    Delete VPC peering

You can delete a VPC peering that has been created and is in operation. The deletion method defers between the case the connection is made between VPCs in your own account and the case the connection is made to a VPC in another account.

    Note

If a route table has designated a VPC peering as a target, then the route table rule needs to be deleted before deleting the VPC peering.

The following describes how to delete a VPC peering when the connection is made between VPCs in your own account.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's VPC environment, click the Services > Networking > VPC menus, in that order.
