There are a few terms you must know to use WORKBOX. These terms and explanations are as follows.
SSO (Single Sign On) connection
It means an integrated login connection which gives you access to both WORKBOX and client company with one ID.
Admin
Subject who owns WORKBOX's features, such as shared folders, personal folders, deleted content, and user preferences, and configures and runs the members' service environment. There are many types of Admins, depending on the permission they own.
Admin permission
Permission that can be owned by an admin. There are top level admin (main admin), security admin, and user-defined admin, to classify broadly.
Member
It refers to all who participates in the WORKBOX service.
Permission
When we say permission in WORKBOX, it usually means one of two types of permissions. The first is the admin permission. Admin permissions include a top level admin (main admin) permission, security admin permission, and user-defined admin permission. The second is the access permission to a shared folder. Access permissions include a master permission, editing permission, and viewing permission.
They are all commonly referred to as permissions in WORKBOX or manuals, so please make sure to know which permission is being referred to. The term "permission" is the same, but they can be distinguished without trouble based on their UI context since what they do is different.
Group
This is a unit of organization created by an admin for collaboration using WORKBOX, set apart from a department in a company's organization chart.
Link customer
Someone who is given access to a folder or file by receiving a sharing link created in WORKBOX. A link customer may or may not be a WORKBOX user. A link customer can only see the download screen of the folder (file) via the sharing link.
Master permission
It's the permission the member who created the folder (file) gets to own, among access permissions to a shared folder. The permission can't be changed or transferred, and the holder can edit all editing on created folders (files) and manage members.
Main admin
There may be only one main admin designated among system admins. The initial main admin is an admin designated when requesting subscription to the service in the console. The main admin permission can be transferred to another top level admin from the current main admin.
Unit
When setting certain options such as admin permission, it can be applied to individual members or all members in a group. It can also be applied to all members of a department. They can be classified as member, group, or department, depending on the application range, but this term encompasses all three in general.
Viewing permission
Among access permissions to a shared folder, it enables copying and downloading the content within a shared folder that one is allowed to access.
Security admin
This is a type of admin permission. It is an owner of editing permission for security related features in the service preferences. The security admin's rights can't be added, edited, or deleted.
Department
An existing organization (department) within a company that uses WORKBOX.
User
Any member who can use WORKBOX's shared folders, personal folders, and deleted content features. This is a contrasting concept to admin, and it is often mentioned as regular user to empathize the difference. However, in a broader sense, an admin is also a user. End user is its synonym.
User defined admin
It owns editing permissions among the service preferences feature set by an admin. It can be added with various names and combinations of editing permissions, depending on the culture, characteristics, and system environment of the company that uses WORKBOX.
Editing permission
Among access permissions to a shared folder, it enables editing, deleting, copying and downloading the content within a shared folder one is allowed to access.
System admin
Top level admin within WORKBOX. It owns all editing permissions in the service preferences feature. System admin's rights can't be added, edited, or deleted. There may be multiple top level admins designated, but only one of them can be the main admin.
Outsider
It refers to someone who is not a WORKBOX user (who is not a recipient of a WORKBOX invitation link, or who does not belong to a company that uses WORKBOX).
End user
This is a term used in the same sense as user. Please refer to the description of User.
Access permission
Access permission to a shared folder (file). Types of access permissions include a master permission, editing permission, and viewing permission.
Organization connection
It means syncing the client company's organization and employee information with the organization information in WORKBOX.
Content
This is a common term for folders or files shared and managed in WORKBOX.
Collaborating colleague
The term that refers to WORKBOX members or outsiders who get WORKBOX's folders (files) shared.
