# Cloud DB for PostgreSQLの用語

VPC環境で利用できます。

Cloud DB for PostgreSQLを使用するために、必ず知っておくべきいくつかの用語があります。 用語とその説明は以下のとおりです。

### Backup

使用中のユーザーのデータベースデータを安全に保管するために、サービス別に設定しておいたバックアップ情報を確認して復元を行えるCloud DB for PostgreSQLの機能

### Event

Cloud DB for PostgreSQL Serverで発生したイベントを収集して履歴を確認できるCloud DB for PostgreSQLの機能

### Monitoring

運用中のPostgreSQL Server関連のサーバ性能、OS、クエリ実行に関するモニタリング情報を確認できるCloud DB for PostgreSQLの機能

### PostgreSQL Log

PostgreSQLエンジンが設定に応じて記録するログ。 サーバログやSlow Queryなどの情報照会ができ、ログ設定の詳細は、[公式ガイド文書](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/runtime-config-logging.html)を参照

### PostgreSQL Server

NAVERサービスで長期にわたって検証して最適化した設定値でPostgreSQLをインストールし、クラウド環境でサービスが提供されるDBサーバ

### PostgreSQL Service

PostgreSQL Serverをグループ化したグループの名前で、高可用性の場合はPrimary1台、Secondary1台、Read Replicaを含めることができ、高可用性ではない場合はStandalone

### Primary

高可用性機能を使用中の場合、メインサーバ

### Read Replica

高可用性機能を使用中の場合、読み込み負荷分散のために追加できるRead onlyサーバ

### Role

PostgreSQL Serverのロールで、Standalone、Primary、Secondary、Read Replicaの4種類が存在

### Secondary

高可用性機能を使用中の場合、Failover発生時に新たにPrimaryに切り替えられるStandbyサーバ

### Slow Query Log

log_min_duration_statementに指定された値(デフォルト値：-1)より長く実行されたクエリ。 PostgreSQL Logで照会するには、設定の変更が必要

### Standalone

高可用性機能を使用しない場合、メインサーバ

### ノード∙Node

クラウド環境で提供するCloud DB for PostgreSQLでPostgreSQL Serverを指す
