    This document explains how to add and manage recipient groups and recipients in Notification Recipient. Recipients refer to people who will receive notifications when events from monitoring, etc., occur.

    You can add recipients and manage contact numbers and email addresses for them to receive notifications, and the notification recipients can be managed in groups. You can specify the notification recipients by recipient group when setting event rules for notification delivery to the recipients in that group when an event occurs.

    To access the Notification recipient menu, connect to the NAVER Cloud Platform portal, and then click the [Console] > Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) > Notification recipient, in that order.

    The Notification recipient page is laid out as follows.

  • [Delete]: Click to delete the recipient. (Refer to Delete recipient)
  • [Move/copy]: Click to move or copy the recipient assigned to the recipient group to another group. (Refer to Move/copy recipient)
  • [Assign]: Click to assign the recipient to a recipient group. (Refer to Assign recipient)
  • [Modify]: Click to modify the recipient's information. (Refer to Modify recipient information)
  • View contentClick to display information of the service for which the recipient will get notifications in case of events.

    Create recipient group

    The recipients to receive notifications when an event occurs can be specified by notification group. To receive notifications when an event occurs, you must create a recipient group and add recipients to the recipient group. For how to add recipients to a recipient group, refer to Assign recipient.

    The following shows how to create a recipient group.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Click i-cloudinsight_add2 in the recipient group list.
    4. Enter a name for the recipient group in the input window displayed.
    5. Click i-cloudinsight_confirm.

    Modify recipient group

    The following shows how to modify a recipient group.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Mouse over i-cloudinsight_setting of the recipient group to modify, and then click Modify.
    4. Edit the recipient group name in the input window displayed, and then click i-cloudinsight_confirm.

    Delete recipient group

    The following describes how to delete a recipient group.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Mouse over i-cloudinsight_setting of the recipient group to delete, and then click Delete.
    4. Click the [Delete] button in the recipient group deletion pop-up window.

    Add recipient

    The following describes how to add a recipient.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Click the [Add recipient] button.
    4. Enter the recipient information in the recipient addition pop-up window.
      • Entering the mobile phone number is optional. An authentication process is required to register a mobile phone number for the protection of personal information.
      • You can select a recipient group to add new notification recipients to the existing recipient group.
    5. Click the [Add] button.
    Note

    You can also add recipients from the NAVER Cloud Platform portal's My Page > Manage notifications menu.

    Assign recipient

    The following shows how to assign a recipient to a recipient group.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Select recipients to assign to a recipient group from the list of all recipients, and then click the [Assign] button.
      • If the selected recipient is already assigned to a recipient group, then the [Assign] button is shown but unavailable to click. To change the recipient group, refer to Move/copy recipient.
    4. Select a recipient group to assign the recipient from the assignment pop-up window.
    5. Click the [Assign] button.
    6. Click the [OK] button in the monitoring pop-up window.

    Modify recipient Information

    Note

    If the recipient is added through the NAVER Cloud Platform portal's My Page > Manage notifications menu, then modify the recipient's information through the Manage notifications menu.

    The following describes how to edit recipient information.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Select the recipient whose information you want to edit, and then click the [Modify] button.
    4. Apply the changes in the recipient information modification pop-up window.
    5. Click the [Modify] button.

    Move/copy recipient

    You can move a recipient assigned to a recipient group to another recipient group, or copy the recipient to assign this person to another recipient group.

    The following describes how to move/copy a recipient.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Select the recipient to move or copy, and then click the [Move/copy] button.
    4. Select a recipient group to move or copy the recipient to from the Copy/move recipient pop-up window.
    5. If you want to move the recipient to another recipient group, then click the [Move] button.
    6. If you want to assign the recipient to another recipient group in duplicate, then click the [Copy] button.
    7. Click the [OK] button in the monitoring pop-up window.

    Delete recipient

    Note

    Notification recipients added through the NAVER Cloud Platform portal's My Page > Manage notifications menu are also displayed in the Notification recipient menu.
    However, notification recipients added through the NAVER Cloud Platform portal's My Page > Manage notifications menu can't be deleted from the Notification recipient menu. They can only be deleted from the My Page > Manage notifications menu.
    (However, you can't delete the default manager set from the My Page > Manage notifications menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.)

    When you delete a notification recipient added through the NAVER Cloud Platform portal's My Page > Manage notifications menu, the recipient is also deleted from the Notification recipient menu, and the monitoring settings set for the deleted recipient are deleted as well.

    The following shows how to delete a recipient.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Select the recipient to delete from the list of all recipients, and then click the [Delete] button.
    4. Check the details in the notification recipient deletion pop-up window, and then click the [Delete] button.

    Delete recipient from recipient group

    The following shows how to delete a recipient from a recipient group.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (monitoring) menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Notification recipient menu.
    3. Click the recipient group where the recipient you want to delete belongs from the recipient group list.
    4. Select the recipient to delete, and then click the [Delete] button.
    5. Check the details in the notification recipient group deletion pop-up window, and then click the [Delete] button.
