Available in Classic and VPC
There are a few terms you need to know to use Load Balancer. The terms and their descriptions are as follows.
Classic environment
A platform that does not provide Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), a customer-only private network, on public cloudVPC environment
A platform that provides Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), a customer-only private network, on public cloudLoad Balancer (LB)
Service that distributes network traffic to multiple servers by considering server performance and loadLoad balancing
Behavior of ensuring that loads are balanced in between devices that operate in parallelTarget group
A set of targets to handle requestsVPC
A service that provides customer-only networks that are completely logically separated on the public cloud, with the IP network space up to /16 available (IP range: RFC 1918)Subnet
The network of an institution that can be recognized as a separate partHealth check
Behavior of executing regular status checks on Auto Scaling Group's virtual servers, checking to distinguish virtual servers with an abnormal statusHealth check type
Type of health check that can be selected between server and Load Balancer. If the name of a Load Balancer has been specified in the Auto Scaling Group settings, then the health check type is also set as Load Balancer. In this case, Auto Scaling will determine the server's status according to the health check methods and standards of the Load Balancer.Least connection
Server load balancing method that assigns the request to the server with the least number of connectionsRound robin
Server load balancing method that sends requests to specified servers sequentially in a fair mannerSource Internet Protocol hash (Source IP hash)
Server load balancing method that executes load balancing with the results from hashing the client's source IP informationHyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP)
Communication protocol used to transfer documents between a web server and the user's internet browserSecure Socket Layer (SSL)
An encryption technique used when providing security-related transactions in e-commerce, such as sending a credit card numberTransmission Control Protocol (TCP)
Protocol used with an IP to send data in message formats between computers on the internet. It performs the feature of tracking and managing data packets while transferring IP dataTransport Layer Security (TLS)
A standardized encryption protocol for protecting the data sent and received while communicating on the internetUser Datagram Protocol (UDP)
One of the Internet Protocol suite's main protocols that is defined as RFC 768 of IETF by standard. It is used for the purpose of exchanging short messages known as datagrams with TCP.Public IP service
A service that assigns a public IP to customer's server when the public IP is neededPrivate Internet Protocol address (Private IP address)
The IP address that assigns to be included in the private IP address range of a private subnet. It reserves the initial 10 IPs, network addresses included, for administrative purposes. It enters the subnet bit in the form of a network address and CIDR.Sub Account
Sub account created under the default account (main account) that can be specified to manage permissions for each task and roleUser Created
Policies arbitrarily created by account users on Sub Account of NAVER Cloud Platform
