    This part describes how to register/manage AlimTalk Template.

    Note

    To use the functions provided in the menu of Biz Message > AlimTalk Template, you need to have a project set to use the Biz Message. To create a project, see Create project, and to edit the settings of a created project, see Edit project.

    Register AlimTalk template

    To send an AlimTalk message, you need to register a template and have it inspected. Inspection is conducted automatically after the template is registered, and it takes 2 to 3 days on average (based on business days, excluding weekends and holidays).
    The following describes how to register an AlimTalk template.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

    2. Click the menus of Services > Application Services > Simple & Easy Notification Service, in that order.

    3. Click the menus of Biz Message > AlimTalk Template in order.

    4. Select the project for registering an AlimTalk template and the KakaoTalk Channel.

    5. Click the [Register template] button.

      • It takes you to the template registration screen.
    6. Enter the template code, template name, and template content.

      • Template code: enter the template code to be used as an identifier
      • Template name: enter the template name of KakaoTalk Channel
      Note

      The Template code and Template name must be unique within the same KakaoTalk Channel.

      • Template content: enter the content to be used as AlimTalk message
        • Enter the phrase to be used as a variable as #{variable}. (You cannot enter more than 30 variables per template.)
          <example> #{name}
    7. Select a message type.

      • Default: composed only of the text of the template
      • Additional information: can add reporting information message guide such as user guide as additional information
        • It must be within 500 characters, and you cannot use variables or the Add Channel button.
      • Ad addition: can add an advertising message for consent to add and receive a channel or a guide to event promotion only for some allowed messages in the AlimTalk approval guide
        • It must be within 80 characters, and you cannot use variables/URL.
      • Complex: can add both additional information and advertisement message
    8. Select an emphasis type.

      • Default: composed only of the text of the template
      • Emphasized: express the content that needs to be emphasized in the upper area of the AlimTalk speech bubble
        • Title: content to be emphasized (variables allowed)
        • Additional Title: description of what is included in the Title (variables not allowed)
      • Image: insert an image of the content that needs to be emphasized in the upper area of the AlimTalk speech bubble
        • Click the [Add file] button and attach an image file.
          • You cannot connect a link to the image.
      • Item list: can express the type of content + additional information/advertisement by selecting among image/header/item highlight for structured information content of message
        • You must select either image, header, or item highlight.
        • Select whether to use an image/header/item highlight.
        • If you use an image, click the [Add file] button on Attach image and upload the file to be inserted into the upper end area of the speech bubble.
          • You cannot connect a link to the image.
        • If you use a header, enter the phrase included in the message text or related phrase.
          • You can enter up to 16 characters, and no variables are allowed.
        • If you use an item highlighter, set the following:
          • Click the [Add file] button of Upload image and upload the file related to the AlimTalk text or the item highlight area.
            • You cannot add an image connected to a link when clicked.
          • Enter the Title.
            • You can use a variable.
            • When there is no thumbnail, you can enter up to 30 characters for 2 rows or 15 characters for 1 row.
            • When there is a thumbnail, you can enter up to 21 characters for 2 rows or 10 characters for 1 row.
            • If there are more than 2 rows, it will be shortened with a mark.
          • Enter the Content.
            • You can use a variable.
            • If there is no thumbnail, you can enter up to 19 characters for 1 row.
            • If there is a thumbnail, you can enter up to 13 characters for 1 row.
            • If there are more than 1 rows, it will be shortened with a mark.
          • Enter the Item list information and then click the [Add] button.
            • You can add 2 to 10 listed information.
            • You cannot use a variable in Item name, but you can use a variable in Item content.
          • Select whether to use Item summary information.
            • You can set only 1 item summary information, and you cannot set only that.
            • You cannot use a variable for Item name.
            • You can enter only number/comma/period/currency symbol/currency unit in Item content. You can use a variable.
    9. Select the Security settings option.

      • If you select Use for the Security settings option, you can check the message sent to the relevant template only on mobile.
    10. Set the button to be used for the template and click the [Add] button.

    • Select the Button type.
      • You can add 6 button types: Track package, Web link, App link, Bot keyword, Message delivery, and Add Channel.
        • You can select the Add Channel button only when the message type is Ad addition or Complex.
    • Enter the Button name.
    • If necessary, enter the Button link.
      • When entering a Web link, you must enter a URL starting with http:// or https://.
      • When you use a variable, you must enter the protocol of http:// or https:// to register it.

    1. Enter your question for the KakaoTalk inspection admin in Contact us.
      • It is an area for questions and answers for approving templates, and the entered content is sent to the KakaoTalk inspection admin. You can view it in the [Inspection history] tab of the relevant template.

    AlimTalk template management

    You can edit/reactivate/cancel approval requests/cancel approval/delete an AlimTalk template.

    Edit AlimTalk template

    The following describes how to edit an AlimTalk template.

    Note
    • You can edit only those templates in the status of Pending inspection, Request approval, and Inspection rejected.
      • You can cancel the request for approval for a template being inspected, and change it into the status of Pending inspection to edit it.
      • For completely inspected templates, you can cancel the approval only for those templates that have never been used for delivery, change it into the status of Pending inspection, and then edit it.
    • You can request re-inspection of a rejected template by editing it.
    • You cannot edit KakaoTalk Channels and template codes.
    • The edited template goes through the inspection process again, beginning with Inspection pending.
    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the menus of Services > Application Services > Simple & Easy Notification Service, in that order.
    3. Click the menus of Biz Message > AlimTalk Template in order.
    4. Select the project with a template to be edited and the KakaoTalk Channel.
    5. Select the template you want to edit and then click the [Edit] button.
    6. Apply the content to be edited in the Edit Template screen and click the [Edit] button.
      • For more information on each item, see Register AlimTalk template.
      • The edited content is applied, and the template status is changed into Pending inspection.

    Reactivate AlimTalk template

    You can reactivate a dormant AlimTalk template.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the menus of Services > Application Services > Simple & Easy Notification Service, in that order.
    3. Click the menus of Biz Message > AlimTalk Template in order.
    4. Select the project with the template you want to reactivate and the KakaoTalk Channel.
    5. Select the template you want to reactivate and then click the [Reactivate] button.
    6. In the [Reactivate] pop-up window, click the [OK] button.
      • The Dormant status is canceled.
    Note
    • After registering a template, if it is maintained in the same status for 1 year or it is not additionally delivered at all, it is turned Dormant.
    • If 1 year passes in the status of Dormant, the template will be deleted. A deleted template cannot be recovered.
    • If there is no history of AlimTalk message delivery for 30 days after reactivating the template from the Dormant status, it'll become dormant again.

    Cancel the request for inspection of AlimTalk template

    The following describes how to cancel the request for inspection of AlimTalk template.

    Note

    You can cancel requests for approval only when the status is Pending inspection or Inspecting.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the menus of Services > Application Services > Simple & Easy Notification Service, in that order.
    3. Click the menus of Biz Message > AlimTalk Template in order.
    4. Select the project with the template you want to cancel the approval request for and the KakaoTalk Channel.
    5. Select the template you want to cancel the approval request for and click the [Cancel approval request] button.
    6. Enter the template code in the Cancel approval request popup window and click the [OK] button.
      • The approval request will be canceled.

    Cancel approval for AlimTalk template

    You can cancel the approval for only templates that have never been used for delivery among templates completely inspected, and change them to Pending inspection.
    The following describes how to cancel the approval of AlimTalk templates.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the menus of Services > Application Services > Simple & Easy Notification Service, in that order.
    3. Click the menus of Biz Message > AlimTalk Template in order.
    4. Select the project with the template to cancel approval for and the KakaoTalk Channel.
    5. Select the template to be canceled, and then click the [Cancel approval] button.
    6. Enter the template code in the Cancel approval popup window and click the [OK] button.
      • The approval will be canceled and it will change to Pending inspection.

    Delete AlimTalk template

    The following describes how to delete an AlimTalk template.

    Caution

    A deleted template cannot be recovered.

    Note
    • You can delete only those templates in the status of Pending inspection, Request approval, and Inspection rejected.
      • You can cancel the request for approval for a template being inspected, and change it into the status of Pending inspection to delete it.
      • For completely inspected templates, you can cancel the approval only for those templates that have never been used for delivery, change it into the status of Pending inspection, and then delete it.
    • You can reuse the deleted template code.
    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the menus of Services > Application Services > Simple & Easy Notification Service, in that order.
    3. Click the menus of Biz Message > AlimTalk Template in order.
    4. Select the project with the template to be deleted and the KakaoTalk Channel.
    5. Select the template to delete and then click the [Delete] button.
    6. Enter the template code in the Delete template popup window and click the [Delete] button.
      • The template will be deleted and disappear from the list.
