Getting Started with Container Registry describes what you need to do to start using Container Registry properly, after you've reviewed the Container Registry usage environment and support specifications, and familiarized yourself with the full range of quickstart.

Create Object Storage and bucket

To use the Container Registry, you must first create Object Storage to store your private Docker container images.

To apply for Object Storage and create a bucket in NAVER Cloud Platform's console:

This is a quick introduction to how to create Object Storage. For details, see Object Storage user guide.

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Click Regions & Platform at the top right of the console interface.
  3. Select your Region and platform and click [Apply].
  4. Click i_menu at the top left of the console interface.
  5. Navigate to Services > Storage > Object Storage.
  6. Click [Subscribe to the service].
  7. Read the instructions in the Subscribe to the service popup and click [Apply] to complete it.
  8. In the Bucket Management menu, click [Create Bucket].
  9. After entering the bucket name, click [Next].
  10. After setting whether to lock objects (WORM), click [Next].
  11. After checking your confirmation, click [Create bucket].

Create Container Registry

To create a Container Registry:

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Click Regions & Platform at the top right of the console interface.
  3. Select your Region and platform and click [Apply].
  4. Click i_menu at the top left of the console interface.
  5. Navigate to Services > Containers > Container Registry.
  6. Click the [Create Registry] button.
  7. Enter the registry name. Does not exist.
    • The registry name can't be duplicated. You can only use lowercase letters, numbers, and the special character '-'.
    • It must be between 3 to 30 characters, and you can only use lowercase English letter, numbers, and the special character "-".
    1. It must be getting started with a lowercase English letter and cannot end with the special character '-'.
  8. Select a registry you want to create and a bucket to integrate with.
    • You cannot select a bucket that has already been integrated with the registry.
    1. If you don't have a bucket to integrate, create one from the Object Storage menu.
