Note Since Maps is provided as an API service, the NAVER Cloud Platform console only allows you to subscribe, unsubscribe, manage usage, and navigate to the Style Editor web console. Here are the topics covered in this guide: - In the NAVER Cloud Platform console: - [Register application](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Application%EB%93%B1%EB%A1%9D) - [View application information](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Application%EC%A0%95%EB%B3%B4%ED%99%95%EC%9D%B8) - [Edit application](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Application%EC%88%98%EC%A0%95) - [Delete application](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Application%EC%82%AD%EC%A0%9C) - [Manage Maps usage](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Maps%EC%9D%B4%EC%9A%A9%EA%B4%80%EB%A6%AC) - [View daily/monthly usage](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#%EB%8B%B9%EC%9D%BC%EB%8B%B9%EC%9B%94%EC%9D%B4%EC%9A%A9%EB%9F%89%ED%99%95%EC%9D%B8) - [Set usage limits](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#%EC%9D%B4%EC%9A%A9%ED%95%9C%EB%8F%84%EC%84%A4%EC%A0%95) - [Set threshold notifications](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#%EC%9E%84%EA%B3%84%EC%B9%98%EC%95%8C%EB%A6%BC%EC%84%A4%EC%A0%95) - [Set notification recipients](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#%ED%86%B5%EB%B3%B4%EB%8C%80%EC%83%81%EC%84%A4%EC%A0%95) - [View Maps primary account](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Maps%EB%8C%80%ED%91%9C%EA%B3%84%EC%A0%95%EC%A1%B0%ED%9A%8C) - [Go to Maps Style Editor](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#MapsStyleEditor%EB%A1%9C%EC%9D%B4%EB%8F%99) - [View Maps development guide](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Maps%EA%B0%9C%EB%B0%9C%EA%B0%80%EC%9D%B4%EB%93%9C%ED%99%95%EC%9D%B8) ## Register application You must register the application after agreeing to the API terms of service. An application is required to use the Maps API. Once you register an application, a unique client ID and a client secret value are created per application. You must apply the authentication key to the Maps API to receive authentication for using NAVER Maps. Note For more information on how to call APIs, see [NAVER integrated API call](https://api.ncloud-docs.com/docs/en/common-naverapi-naverapi) in NAVER Cloud Platform's API guide. Caution Maps API offers a free usage quota exclusively to the primary account. Note that charges apply if you are using a non-primary account. To view whether the account currently logged into the console is a primary account, see [View Maps primary account](/docs/en/application-maps-app-vpc#Maps%EB%8C%80%ED%91%9C%EA%B3%84%EC%A0%95%EC%A1%B0%ED%9A%8C). To register an application: 1. In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to **Menu** > **All Services** > **Application Services** > **Maps**. 2. Click the **Application** menu. 3. Click **[Register an application]**. 4. Enter the **application name**. - You can enter up to 20 characters. - Depending on the service, the application name may be displayed on the screen, so enter a name of up to 10 characters. 5. In **API selection**, click on the API you wish to use. 6. In the **Service environment registration** component, enter the service environment of the application. Note - When selecting Dynamic Map, you must enter at least one of the following: The web service URL, Android app package name, or iOS Bundle ID. If not entered, the application registration is not completed. - When selecting Static Map, you must enter a web service URL. If no URL is entered, certain restrictions may apply to API use. - The client ID and secret value issued for 1 application may be applied to multiple environments including Android, iOS, web, and Windows App. However, API usage is aggregated per client ID. - Web service URL - Up to 10 web service URLs that begin with http:// can be entered. - http and https are treated the same. Enter the URL without www. Example: http://naver.com - Enter the main domain only even if there are subdomains. - If information of the service URL differs from the web used, the authentication may fail. - For hybrid apps, enter the output value of the location.href object. Example: file://local URL - Android app package name - For Android applications only, up to 10 can be entered. - If the entered package name differs from the package name of the app in use, the authentication may fail. - iOS Bundle ID - For iOS applications only, up to 10 can be entered. - If the registered bundle ID differs from the information of the app in use, the authentication may fail. 7. Click **[Register]**. ### View application information You can view the list of registered applications in the **Application Services > Maps > Application** menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
