This section explains the Character live mode and its usage. Character live mode supports the character live type among the three Live broadcast types supported by the PRISM Live Studio mobile app. Character live refers to a live format of capturing a character running on a device and utilizing it for Live broadcast.

Character live mode

Launch the B2B PRISM Live Studio mobile app, and then select the [LIVE] button at the bottom of the mode tab to go to the Prepare for Live broadcast screen. A tab to select the Live broadcast mode exists right above the [Ready] button at the bottom of the app screen. The tab consists of [Screen], [Camera], [VTuber] tabs. Select the [VTuber] tab to start Live broadcast in Character live mode.

VTuber tab

Character live mode in the B2B PRISM Live Studio mobile app is supported as a feature named VTuber. VTuber originates from the abbreviation for Virtual YouTuber and currently refers to general character live streamers.
Select the [VTuber] tab to transition the Live ready screen of the app into a format that supports Character live mode. Representative avatars selected by the B2B PRISM Live Studio team are set in Character live mode. The B2B PRISM Live Studio mobile app provides various avatars you can select from. You can create your own avatars as well using the features already provided by the app.
A volume slider is provided in the left of the app screen, and you can set the volume of the voice to which avatars react to using the slider. The avatar automatically moves their mouth in response to the sound coming in through the device's microphone. Because the avatar reacts to the streamer's voice during Live broadcast, viewers may feel as if the avatar is speaking by itself.
You can find the b2bpls-live_gearwheel_button button and the b2bpls-characterlive_emotion button on the right side of the app screen. These two buttons each offer functionality for setting and changing the avatar, as well as selecting emotions and background for utilizing the avatar in Live broadcast.

Setting/Change

Click the b2bpls-live_gearwheel_button button to go to the Avatar settings menu. The Avatar settings menu includes a list of default avatars provided by the app. You can select an avatar to use from the default avatar list. If you don't see an avatar you want to use from the default avatar list, you can personally register a new avatar at the beginning of the list.

Register avatar

Avatars can express various emotions. Using avatars with various emotions enables deeper communication with viewers during Live broadcast. One emotion consists of 4 images. The images include one with open eyes and a closed mouth; one with open eyes and an open mouth; one with closed eyes and a closed mouth; and one with closed eyes and an open mouth.
The action of opening and closing avatar's eyes is automatically conducted by the app. The action of opening and closing avatar's mouth is an automatic response to the volume of incoming sound to the device. The automatic opening and closing of eyes and the responsive movement of the mouth according to the sound's volume enables the dynamic appearance of the avatar during Live broadcast.
To create a unique avatar, register a set of 4 images for each emotion through the Register avatar feature. These personally created avatars can be saved as files for later use on other devices.

Avatar settings

Select an avatar for use in Live broadcast from either the personally registered avatars or default avatars provided by the app. You can set additional emotions and motions for the selected avatar. The selected avatar in the Avatar settings menu is automatically set on the Live broadcast screen.
You can resize the avatar set on the Live broadcast screen with a two finger touch and reposition the avatar by dragging after touching. Rotating the avatar with two finger touch is also possible. Adjust the avatar to an appropriate size and position it on the Live broadcast screen.

Emotion

You can set one or more emotions for personally registered avatars. Press the [Edit] button at the bottom right of the Avatar settings screen to go to the emotion editing menu. You can add emotions using the b2bpls-characterlive_add_emotion.png button at the top and select the emoji representing the emotion when adding. Click the emoji to switch emotions during Live broadcast.
The default avatars provided by the app can express 5 emotions: happiness, joy, surprise, sadness, and anger. Editing emotions for the default avatars is not supported.

Motion

In addition to blinking their eyes and opening their mouths, you can give movement to the avatar itself through the Motion feature. The Motion feature is associated with emotions and can be set for both personally registered avatars and default avatars.
Click the [Emotion] tab at the bottom of the Avatar settings screen to go to the emotion list, and then select the emotion for which you want to set a motion. In this state, click the [Motion] tab to set the motion for that emotion. Set 2 emotions for each emotion at this point. Each emotion is divided into open-mouthed and closed-mouthed, and motions can be applied to each of these 2 states. Repeat the previous process for all emotions of an avatar to set motions for when the avatar is speaking and when is not.

Emotion/BG

Clicking the b2bpls-characterlive_emotion button on the right side of the app screen exposes the emotion and background settings control at the bottom of the Live broadcast screen. Streamers can adjust avatar's emotions and background in real time during Live broadcast.

Emotion

Avatar's set emotions are shown through emojis. Click each emoji button to dynamically switch between emotions in real time during Live broadcast. Even during Live broadcast, you can edit the emotion list using the [Edit] button at the bottom right.

Background

The B2B PRISM Live Studio mobile app provides the Background feature to bring changes to character Live broadcast using avatars. Streamers can select and switch default backgrounds provided by the app in real time according to the Live broadcast situation. Removing the background with the [Off] button is also possible. When the background is removed, the image visible through the camera becomes the background for the Live broadcast.
With the [Background] tab selected, clicking the [Edit] button at the bottom right enables you to edit the background list. Use the b2bpls-characterlive_add_background button added to the front of the list to register images stored on the device as backgrounds. You can delete the personally registered background in this way using the b2bpls-characterlive_delete_background.png button displayed at the top left corner of the background icon.
