This describes how to subscribe to Ncloud Chat service, create and manage projects.
Subscribe Ncloud Chat service
To subscribe Ncloud Chat service, follow these steps:
- Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- Click Region & Platform in the upper-right corner of the console interface.
- Select the region and platform you are using, and click [Apply].
- Click
in the upper-left corner of the console interface. - Click Services > Business Applications > Ncloud Chat menus in order.
- Click the [Request subscription] button.
- Read and agree to the terms of service, then click the [OK] button.
Create project
Once the service subscription is complete, you can create a project. After creating a project, a URL will be generated that links to the project management page.
To create an Ncloud Chat project, follow these steps:
- On the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Business Applications > Ncloud Chat in order. - Click the [Create project] button.
- Enter the name of the Chatting project.
- The name must be between 3 and 30 characters
- The name must start with an English letter and can include English letters, numbers, spaces, and special characters such as '.', '-', and '_'
- Enter the Administrator ID.
- Ncloud Chat provides a separate management page for each project and the admin ID is used to access that page
- You must enter the admin ID as an email address that can be verified via email
- Click the [Create project] button.
- Click the [OK] button when the project creation completion screen appears.
- Open the verification email sent to the admin email and complete the authentication process.
- Click the [Create Account] button on the Ncloud Chat admin creation page after entering the log in password and time zone.
Project management
This describes how to manage projects and switch to a paid service.
Access management page
You must complete email verification before accessing the project's management page (dashboard). If you cannot log in to the management page, check whether email verification is complete.
To access management page, follow these steps:
- On the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Business Applications > Ncloud Chat in order. - Click the project management page URL.
- Enter the admin ID and password to log in.
Upgrade to paid plan
When a project is created, it is initially set as a free development project, which allows up to 200 CCU per day. To use more than 200 CCU, you must upgrade to a paid plan.
To upgrade to paid plan, follow these steps:
- On the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Business Applications > Ncloud Chat in order. - Click the management page URL for the project.
- Enter the admin ID and password to log in.
- Click the [Upgrade to paid plan] button at the bottom of the management page.
- Click the [OK] button after confirming the information.
Once upgraded to a paid plan, you cannot revert to a free version, so proceed with caution.
Change project administrator
You can change the administrator ID set when the project was created. When the administrator ID is changed, a verification email is sent to the email address of the new account.
- On the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Business Applications > Ncloud Chat in order. - After checking the check box of the project you want to change the administrator for, click the [Manage project] button.
- Click the Change account button.
- Enter the new administrator ID (email address) and the current administrator ID (email address) and click the [Change] button.
- Complete the verification by accessing the email of the new administrator.
Reset project administrator account password
If you forget the password of the administrator account used to access the Ncloud Chat admin page, you can reset and reconfigure it.
- On the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Business Applications > Ncloud Chat in order. - Click the [Manage project] button after clicking the check box of the project you want to change the administrator for.
- Click the Reset password button.
- Click the [Reset] button after entering the administrator ID (email address).
Delete Project
To delete a project, follow these steps:
- Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- Click Region & Platform in the upper-right corner of the console interface.
- Select the region and platform you are using, and click [Apply].
- Click
in the upper-left corner of the console interface. - Click Services > Business Applications > Ncloud Chat in order.
- Click the [Delete project] button after clicking the check box of the project you want to delete.
- Enter the name of the project to delete.
- Click [OK].
When deleting a project, be aware that all data stored within the project will be permanently deleted.
