You can obtain and use SSL/TLS certificates from NAVER Cloud Trust Services, a trusted certificate authority.

Caution

Issued certificates work properly with compatible operating systems and software. Before use, be sure to check the compatibility of the issued certificate.

Compatibility of issued certificates

Check the operating systems and software versions in which certificates issued by NAVER Cloud Trust Services function properly.

  • For more information on detailed specifications, see JAVA compatibility.
  • You can check in advance whether the operating system and software you are using are working normally by accessing the Test website to which the issued certificate has been applied.
  • If the client environment using SSL/TLS communication is an incompatible version or software, the NAVER Cloud Trust Services root certificate must be installed in the client environment to enable normal communication. To install the root certificate, see Certificate compatibility and root certificate installation.

Check the JAVA OpenJDK providers and versions in which the certificate issued by NAVER Cloud Trust Services works normally.

Note

In accordance with CA/B Forum Ballot SC-081v3, the maximum validity period of certificates issued by Certificate Manager is reduced to 199 days starting from February 12, 2026.
In accordance with CA/B Forum Ballot SC-090, support for email-based domain control validation for certificates issued by Certificate Manager is discontinued starting from February 12, 2026.

Certificate types

Type Certificate type Description
Cloud Basic Domain Validation Certificate Free certificates available within NAVER Cloud Platform. Available for use in services integrated with Load Balancer and others.
Advanced Domain Validation Certificate Certificates available within NAVER Cloud Platform and can also be used externally. Supports certificate download and reissuance features.
Advanced Organization Validation Certificate
  • Certificates available within NAVER Cloud Platform and can also be used externally. Supports certificate download and reissuance features.
  • Organization Validation certificate information includes a validated domain name and business information (such as the organization's name and address).
Note

The issued certificate supports VPC WAF integrations only with the Advanced type. To update VPC WAF certificates, request it through Customer Support. (Select Security > Security Monitoring > WAF for inquiry type.)
