You can obtain and use SSL/TLS certificates from NAVER Cloud Trust Services, a trusted certificate authority.

Caution

Issued certificates work properly with compatible operating systems and software. Before use, be sure to check the compatibility of the issued certificates.

Compatibility of issued certificates

Check the operating system and software version in which the certificate issued by NAVER Cloud Trust Services works normally.

Microsoft Windows, Windows Server Certificate trust list (CTL) updated after March 26, 2019.
Mozilla NSS NSS version 3.60 or later.
Google Android Android version 12 or later.
Google Chrome Chrome version 102 or later.
Apple macOS macOS version 13 (Ventura) or later.
Apple iOS iOS version 16 or later.
Apple iPadOS iPadOS version 16 or later.
Apple watchOS watchOS version 9 or later.
Apple tvOS tvOS version 16 or later.
JAVA
  • Supported JAVA environments: OpenJDK (excluding Oracle).
  • Unsupported JAVA environments: Oracle JDK and Oracle OpenJDK.
  • For more information on detailed specifications, see JAVA compatibility.
    • You can check in advance whether the operating system and software you are using are working normally by accessing the Test website to which the issued certificate has been applied.
    • If the client environment using SSL/TLS communication is an incompatible version or software, NAVER Cloud Trust Services root certificate must be installed in the client environment to enable normal communication. To install the root certificate, see Certificate compatibility and root certificate installation.

    JAVA compatibility

    Check the JAVA OpenJDK providers and versions in which the certificate issued by NAVER Cloud Trust Services works normally.

    These are providers that are widely used in the industry and JAVA versions that provide Long Term Support (LTS).

    Certificate types

    Type Certificate types Description
    Cloud Basic Domain Validation Certificate Free certificates available within NAVER Cloud Platform. Available for use in services integrated with Load Balancer and others.
    Advanced Domain Validation Certificate Certificates available within NAVER Cloud Platform and can also be used externally. Supports certificate download and reissuance features.
    Advanced Organization Validation Certificate Certificates available within NAVER Cloud Platform and can also be used externally. Supports certificate download and reissuance features.
  • Organization Validation certificate information includes validated domain name and business information (such as the organization's name and address).
  • Note

    The issued certificate supports VPC WAF integrations only with the Advanced type. To update VPC WAF certificates, request it through Customer Support. (Select "Security > Security Monitoring > WAF" for inquiry type.)
