Available in Classic and VPC
When entering questions using regular expression syntax or creating patterned entities, it will come in handy if you define and use frequently used patterns as regular expression variables. Changes are only reflected to the chatbot service when the build or changed settings are applied after creating, modifying, or deleting regular expressions variables. For details about the regular expressions syntax rules, refer to Regular expressions.
Regular expression types
- Domain variable: Variable that can only be used in a specific domain
- System variable: Variable that is registered as built-in and can be shared and used by all Korean domains
Create domain variable
The following shows how to create a domain variable.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > CLOVA Chatbot > Domain menus, in that order.
- Click the [Run builder] button of the domain you want to run the chatbot builder.
- From the chatbot builder, click Regular expression variable > [Domain variable] tab.
- Click the [Create variable] button.
- Enter the name of the domain variable and click the [Check for duplicates] button.
- Define the domain variable using regular expressions in the variable definition field, and click the [Add] button.
- Only dictionary entities and system variables can be entered in a domain variable.
- Click the [Save] button.
Use system variable
System variables are Korean ending conjugated variables registered in the system by default. They can be used when creating pattern entities or questions.
The system entities being referenced in a task or regular expression question can't be deactivated.
