Available in Classic and VPC

Before integrating with LINE Messenger, complete the following tasks.

  • Create a LINE Business account
  • Create API Gateway Invoke URL
  • Check the required information for LINE integration
    • Channel ID
    • Channel Secret
    • Channel access token

Create a LINE Business account

To create a LINE Business account:

  1. Access LINE Business Center.
  2. Click [Create a LINE Official Account for free].
  3. Click Create an account.
  4. Click [Register with LINE account] or [Start with email] then create the account.
  5. Enter the account information and click [Continue].
  6. Review the information you entered, and then click [Submit].
  7. When the account application is complete, click [Log in to LINE Official Account Manager].

Check the Channel ID and Channel Secret

To check the Channel ID and Channel Secret required for LINE Messenger integration:

  1. Access LINE Business Center.
  2. Click the account name.
    • You are redirected to the management page.
  3. Click Setting > Messaging APIs > [Enable Messaging APIs] in the upper-right corner of the management page.
  4. When the developer information registration window appears, enter the developer information and click [Agree].
  5. Enter the operations manager information and click [Agree].
  6. When the Messaging APIs activation confirmation window appears, click [OK].
  7. On the Messaging APIs interface, copy the Channel ID and Channel Secret.
    • Channel ID: The unique identifier of the created channel.
    • Channel Secret: The unique value of the identifier

Check the Channel access token value

To check and modify the Webhook URL and Channel Token in LINE Developers:

  1. Access LINE Developers.
  2. Click the account name.
  3. In the Basic settings tab, you can check the Channel ID and Channel Secret.
  4. Click [Messaging APIs].
    • Messaging settings: Check and modify messaging-related information.
    • Webhook URL: Enter Webhook URL. Enter the Invoke URL generated from the basic integration in CLOVA Chatbot and API Gateway basic integration click Update and Verify.
    • Allow bot to join group chats: Group chat setting
    • Auto-reply messages: Configure automatic reply messages.
    • Greeting messages: Configure the initial greeting message.
    • Channel access token: Configure the channel access token.
  5. Click [Issue] of Channel access token.
    • You can regenerate the Channel access token at any time.
  6. Copy the generated Channel access token.

Configure LINE integration in Chatbot Builder

To integrate LINE with the chatbot in Chatbot Builder:

  1. Complete the preliminary tasks.
    • API Gateway integration
    • Copy the Channel ID and Channel Secret
    • Copy the Channel access token
  2. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > AI Services > CLOVA Chatbot > Domain.
  3. Click [Run builder] of the domain you want to run the Chatbot Builder.
  4. From the Chatbot Builder, click Chatbot Settings > [Messenger Integration].
  5. Activate LINE and click [Integrate].
  6. In the Messenger Integration Settings – Step 1 section, enter the Channel ID and Channel Secret.
  7. In the Step 2 section, enter the Channel access token value.
  8. Click [Integrate].
