The following tasks need be performed before integrating with NAVER TalkTalk messenger:

  • Create API Gateway Invoke URL
  • Create a NAVER TalkTalk account
  • Set up the NAVER TalkTalk account and copy the Channel access token value.
Note

The method to create and set up NAVER TalkTalk account as described in this guide may slightly differ from the actual process.

Create a NAVER TalkTalk account

To create a NAVER TalkTalk account:

  1. Access TalkTalk Partner Center and click [Start].
  2. Sign in with your NAVER account, complete the membership registration process, perform mobile phone verification, and click [Create account].
  3. Click [Connect service].
  4. Select the NAVER service you want to connect and click [Connect service].
  5. Select representative account information, and click [Next].
  6. Enter profile information and click [Apply for use].
    • When creating a test account, insert the text "[Test]" at the beginning of the profile name to exclude it from finding TalkTalk affiliates and prevent user visits directed through search during testing.
      Example: TalkTalk Chatbot → [Test] TalkTalk Chatbot
    • Due to the review process, account creation requires 1 business day. Once creation is complete, an SMS notification is sent.
    • The created account is displayed with the status "Under Review", and once the review is complete, the status changes to "In Use."

NAVER TalkTalk account setting

Once the TalkTalk account review is complete, you can access the account management home by clicking My account management. In the corresponding list, you can access the chatbot through the provided URL.
To set up a NAVER TalkTalk account:

  1. Access TalkTalk Partner Center and log in.
  2. Click [My account management] at the top of the interface.
  3. In the account management interface, navigate to Developer tools > Chatbot API settings.
  4. To configure Webhook, enter the Invoke URL generated from API Gateway basic integration into the 'Event Receiving URL' field.
  5. Click [Change event] in 'Select event.'
    • Check that the settings are configured as 'send' and 'open.'
  6. Under the Send API section, click [Create] in the Authorization field.
    • Once creation is complete, the button changes to [Reset].
    • The Authorization value is the Channel access token that you have to provide as an input when integrating with the messenger. Be sure to copy it in advance.
  7. Copy the Authorization value that you created.

TalkTalk integration settings in the Chatbot Builder

To set up integration with NAVER TalkTalk in the Chatbot Builder:

  1. Complete the preliminary tasks.
    • API Gateway integration
    • Create and set up a NAVER TalkTalk account
    • Copy the Channel access token
  2. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > AI Services > CLOVA Chatbot > Domain.
  3. Click [Run builder] of the domain you want to run the Chatbot Builder.
  4. From the Chatbot Builder, click Chatbot Settings > [Messenger Integration].
  5. Activate TalkTalk and click [Integrate].
  6. Enter the Channel access token value in the Step 3 area of Messenger integration settings.
  7. Select whether to connect the persistent menu.
  8. Click [Integrate].
