You must know some terms to use Cloud DB for Cache. The glossary and its description are as follows:

Backup

Feature of Cloud DB for Cache to view backup information set for each server to keep your cache data of subscribing users and perform restoration with backup files

Config Group

Feature of Cloud DB for Cache to group created DB Servers, assign the same configuration value to servers in the group, and manage them efficiently

Event

Feature of Cloud DB for Cache server to collect occurred events and view their history

Master

Main server with the high availability feature being used

Mode

DB Cluster and DB Simple as types of DB

Monitoring

Features of Cloud DB for Cache to view server performance related to the running DB Server and monitoring information related to the operating system

DB Cluster

DB can distribute traffic through data sharding using Master and Slave methods

DB Service

Group name for DB Server by roles

DB Simple

Default DB using the Master and Slave method

Role

Stand Alone, Master, Standby-Master as three types of roles of DB Server

Stand Alone

Stand-alone server that does not use the high availability feature

Standby-Master

Backup server with the high availability feature being used

Node

Refers to DB Server in Cloud DB for Cache provided in the cloud environment

Data sharding

A technique to partition multiple DBMS for processing large amounts of data, dividing the data outside the DBMS rather than withing it

Master node

Main server in Cluster

Shard

Data unit partitioned in DB Cluster

Salve node

Backup server in Cluster
