Describes how to manage and create Process, File, and Port Plugins from Plugin.

Monitor the Process, File, or Port status of the Server (Classic and VPC) through Plugin.
Designate a Process, File, or Port to monitor through the Plugin feature to monitor the status.
Add or delete a Process, File, or Port to monitor through the Plugin menu.

The Plugin page is laid out as follows:

Area Description
① Plugin settings and basic features Features displayed when initially entering the Plugin menu
  • [Plugin settings]: enabled only when a specific Instance or a Target Group is selected, and sets the plugin of the selected Instance or Target Group. For more information, see Plugin settings.
  • [Learn more about the product]: click to go to the Cloud Insight introduction page.
  • [Refresh]: click to refresh the channel list.
② Target select tab Check the Instance or Target Group list possible for configuring Plugins.
③ Search and filter Search the Instance or Target Group by name, and provide a filtering feature depending on the Region, product type, status, and monitoring settings.
④ Instance and Target Group list Displays the Instance or Target Group list possible for configuring Plugins.

Configure Plugins

To configure a Plugin, follow these steps:

  1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (Monitoring) in order.
  2. Click Configuration > Plugin in order.
  3. Select an Instance or Target Group to set the Plugin from the Instance/Target Group list.
  4. Click the [+ Plugin settings] button.
  5. Enter the Process, File, or Port information to monitor from the Plugin settings page and click the [Save] button.
    • Process: enter the Process name and the Metric of the corresponding Process is collected. You can set the Process Metric that starts with a special character or that includes a special character by using the asterisk character (*).
    • File: enter the path and the name of the File to collect the Metric of the File with the corresponding path and name.
    • Port: enter the Port number to collect the Metric of the Port that has the number as its name.

Delete Plugin

To delete a Plugin, follow these steps:

  1. From NAVER Cloud Platform console, click i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (Monitoring) in order.
  2. Click Configuration > Plugin in order.
  3. Select an Instance or Target Group to delete the Plugin from the Instance/Target Group list.
  4. Click the [+ Plugin settings] button.
  5. Go to the Process, File, or Port tab to be deleted from the Plugin settings page, and click the [x] button of the item to be deleted from the Process, File, or Port list.
  6. Click the [Save] button.
