    CLOVA OCR supports the following cloud environment specifications:

    The languages in the cloud environment specifications refer to languages supported in the NAVER Cloud Platform console. For the types of language recognized by CLOVA OCR, see Domain.

    Precautions when using the service

    Precautions for using CLOVA OCR are as follows:

    • The recommended call performance per service account is up to 1 tps. If you want a higher call performance, contact Customer Support.
    • If a document requested for recognition is rotated more than 45 degrees, the recognition rate may be degraded.

    User information security

    CLOVA OCR does not save or use the images or documents that users transfer and the recognition result that users extract. The returned result values are not included in the log data, and it saves the minimum log data for checking usage charge based on the call access history.
    However, if users want more detailed analysis on the OCR recognition result, it is processed to get users' consent and analyze users' data internally.
    Also, since the section between users' servers or applications and NAVER Cloud Platform's API Gateway uses https communication, and encryption is applied for the communication section, it enables safe use.

    Pricing information

    CLOVA OCR uses a pay-as-you-go pricing plan. For details of CLOVA OCR’s usage fee, see the pricing information at Portal > Services > AI Services > CLOVA OCR menu.

    Caution
    • Be careful as a basic maintenance fee is charged even though you do not make API calls for all service plans except for General OCR and free service plan.
    • The number of CLOVA OCR API calls is provided differently depending on the service plans, and additional charge may occur if it exceeds the corresponding bounds, so be careful.
    • The criteria for a 1-time call of Template OCR is the number of recognition areas of templates set in the building (up to 50). If it exceeds, additional charge occurs. <Example>: if the number of box areas in the template is 130, it is 3 times of API call, and an additional charge occurs.
    • When you use the batch function, an additional charge occurs depending on the configuration, such as long image, table extraction, etc., so be careful.
