    The languages in the cloud environment specifications refer to languages supported in the NAVER Cloud Platform console. For the types of languages recognized in CLOVA OCR, refer to Domain.

    Precautions when using service

    The following are the precautions for using CLOVA OCR.

    • The recommended call performance per service account is a maximum of 1 TPS. Please contact Support for a higher call performance.
    • If you request recognition for a document rotated 45 degrees or more, then the recognition rate may decrease.

    User information security

    CLOVA OCR doesn't separately store or utilize images or documents sent by the user or recognition results extracted by the user. Returned results are not included in the log data, and it only saves the minimal log data for billing confirmation based on call access history.
    However, it has a process in place to analyze the user's data internally with the user's consent, if they want further analysis of the OCR recognition results.
    In addition, the section between the user's server or application and API Gateway of NAVER Cloud Platform uses HTTPS communication, so the encryption of the communication section is applied for safe usage.

    Usage fees

    CLOVA OCR is serviced on a pay-as-you-go pricing plan. For details about CLOVA OCR's pricing standard, refer to the Portal > Service > AI Services > CLOVA OCR menu or the Portal > Pricing menu.

    Caution
    • Please note that basic maintenance costs are incurred for all service plans, except for General OCR and Free service plans, even if the CLOVA OCR API isn't called.
    • Please note that the number of CLOVA OCR API calls provided vary by service plan, and additional charges are incurred if the maximum number is exceeded.
    • The one-time call standard of Template OCR is the number of recognition areas of the template set in the builder (maximum of 50). Additional charges will occur when exceeding this limit. <Example> If the number of box areas of the template is 130, then charges for 3 API calls will occur.)
    • When using the batch feature, note that additional fees may occur based on settings such as long images and table extractions.
