    If you have checked the supported specifications for CLOVA OCR and duly noted the service terms and scenarios, then you are now ready to start using CLOVA OCR. The first thing to do now is to request subscription for CLOVA OCR. You can request subscription to CLOVA OCR and manage your subscription in NAVER Cloud Platform's console.
    Once you complete the subscription request, you can create a bucket from NAVER Cloud Platform's Object Storage in advance to use the batch feature.

    Request subscription

    To request subscription to CLOVA OCR, you must agree to the Terms of Service in the NAVER Cloud Platform console. The Terms of Service explicate the terms regarding the retention and use of data generated in CLOVA OCR, consignment of personal information, and obligations of the company and customers, so it must be checked before planning for services using CLOVA OCR.
    The following describes how to request subscription to CLOVA OCR from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

    1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. From the Region menu, click and select the region you're using.
    3. From the Platform menu, click and select between VPC and Classic.
    4. Click the Services > AI Services > CLOVA OCR menus, in that order.
    5. Click the Subscription menu.
    6. Click the [Request subscription] button.
    7. When the Request service subscription pop-up window appears, click I have read and agree to the CLOVA OCR Terms of Service.
    8. Click the [Request subscription] button.
    Note

    Click the [Request subscription] button from Service > AI Services > CLOVA OCR in the NAVER Cloud Platform portal to go directly to the page in Step 6.

    Cancel subscription

    You can cancel the CLOVA OCR subscription from the NAVER Cloud Platform portal. You can cancel the subscription at any time, and CLOVA OCR can no longer be used upon cancellation of subscription. The following describes how to cancel your subscription.

    Caution

    Please decide carefully since all domains and saved data created in VPC and Classic environments in all regions will be deleted once you cancel your subscription.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Region menu, click and select the region you're using.
    2. From the Platform menu, click and select between VPC and Classic.
    3. Click the Services > AI Services > CLOVA OCR menus, in that order.
    4. Click the Subscription menu.
    5. Click the [Product in use] button, and then click Cancel subscription.
    6. When the Cancel service subscription pop-up window appears, click the [Cancel subscription] button.

    Create storage

    Storage is required to use the batch feature of CLOVA OCR. It can be created using Object Storage of NAVER Cloud Platform. For more details on how to create buckets using Object Storage, refer to the Object Storage Guide.

    Note

    The Object Storage product is provided free of charge upon subscription request. For the introduction on Object Storage and details about its pricing plans, refer to the Service > Storage > Object Storage menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.
