You might run into the following problems when using CLOVA OCR. Find out causes and possible solutions.

Change pricing plan

I cannot change my pricing plan.

Cause

You cannot change the pricing plan in use.

Solution

As explained in the cause section, it is not possible to change the pricing plan of the domain. However, you can use the pricing plan you want by using the domain copy feature.
To use the pricing plan you want by using the domain copy feature:

  1. Copy the existing domain by referring to Copy domain.
  2. While creating a new domain, select the pricing plan you want.
  3. When the domain creation is completed, delete the existing domain.
Note
  • Delete the domains not in use to avoid their usage fee being charged.
  • If you are using API Gateway auto integration feature, both URL and Secret Key are changed when you copy the domain.

Billing of unused service

I have never called any APIs, yet the fee has been charged.

Cause

  • Among CLOVA OCR services, other than the basic and free plans, the Basic/Premium template domains and specialized model domains charge basic usage fees every month even if there is no usage. Due to the nature of Cloud, a basic fee is charged even if you do not request APIs because it occupies resources for maintaining the contract.
  • It is the case where the last month's fee has been paid this month because it is a post payment structure.

Solution

  • As explained in the cause section, it is a normal operation and it does not need any action. For more information on pricing plans, see About CLOVA OCR on the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.
  • Check if there are any APIs you called last month.

View usage

I called APIs, but the usage is displayed as 0 on the Cost Explorer service.

Cause

It is not possible to check the usage in real time, and it can be checked 1 hour later.

Solution

As explained in the cause section, it is a normal operation and it does not need any action. To check the precise usage, check it in the Cost Explorer service on the day after using CLOVA OCR.
