    You can check the history of events that have occurred on the Cloud DB for Redis server in Event. The events that occur in Redis are saved automatically in the history and stored permanently without requiring additional settings by the user.

    The basics of using the event are as follows.

    The basics of using the event are as follows.

    Check events(VPC)

    The following describes how to view the events that occurred in Redis.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Platform menu, click and select VPC.
    2. Click Services > Database > Cloud DB for Redis, in order.
    3. Click the Event menu.
    4. When the event history appears, check the required information.
      • Redis server name: name of the Redis server where the event occurred
      • Event occurrence time: time when the event occurred
      • Event type: type of the event that occurred
        • Redis server: events that occurred in relation to the Redis server
        • Config group: events that occurred in relation to the config group
      • Event name: name of the event that occurred
        • Start: start a Redis server
        • Delete: delete a Redis server
        • Backup: start or end of backup execution
        • Failover: failover of a Redis server
        • Create: create Config Group
        • Modified: modify Config Group
        • Host Rename: change the server host name
        • Flushall: initialize all data of Redis
      • Content: name of the occurred event
      • Access IP: access IP address of the admin account where the event occurred
    5. Check the details by clicking the event.

      • DB service name: service name of the Redis server
      • DB status: status of the Redis server in operation
      • DB role: role of the Redis server in operation
      • Creation date: date that Redis server in operation was created

    Check events(Classic)

    The following describes how to view the events that occurred in Redis.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Platform menu, click and select Classic.
    2. Click Services > Database > Cloud DB for Redis, in order.
    3. Click the Event menu.
    4. Click the Event History tab menu to check the event list.
    5. When the event list appears, check the required information.
      • Redis server name: name of the Redis server where the event occurred
      • Event occurrence time: time when the event occurred
      • Event type: type of the event that occurred
        • Redis server: events that occurred in relation to the Redis server
        • Monitoring: events that occurred in relation to the event settings
      • Event name: name of the event that occurred
        • Redis Server
          • Start: start a Redis server
          • Delete: delete a Redis server
          • Backup: start or end of backup execution
          • Failover: failover of a Redis server
        • Monitoring
          • Set event: set (register) events
          • Delete event: delete set events
          • Suspend notifications: suspend event notifications
          • Resume notifications: restart suspended event notifications
          • Alarm notification: send notifications
      • Content: name of the occurred event
      • Access IP: access IP address of the admin account where the event occurred
    6. Check the details by clicking the event.

      • DB service name: service name of the Redis server

      • DB role: role of the Redis server in operation
      • Creation date: date that Redis server in operation was created

    Event rules and notification (alarm) settings (VPC)

    If you use Cloud Insight, NAVER Cloud Platform's specialized service for monitoring, you can set more detailed event rules for Redis servers and monitor them. The events collected by the rules set by the user can be checked from the Cloud Insight dashboard. Also, if you have set event rules for Redis servers, you can set thresholds for specific rules, and set email and SMS notifications to predetermined users when the thresholds are exceeded.

    Set event rules and notification (alarm) (Classic)

    If you use Cloud Insight, NAVER Cloud Platform's specialized service for monitoring, you can set more detailed event rules for Redis servers and monitor them. The events collected by the rules set by the user can be checked from the Cloud Insight dashboard. Also, if you have set event rules for Redis servers, you can set thresholds for specific rules, and set email and SMS notifications to predetermined users when the thresholds are exceeded.

    Caution

    No additional fees are charged for subscription to Cloud Insight. If the service is converted to a paid service in future, the customers using the product via email and SMS will receive a notification one month prior.
