    Tag Template is a function for managing multiple tags as one template. Tag templates allow you to easily register multiple tags in databases and tables. The Tag Template menu allows you to create and manage tag templates.

    The following is the basic explanation of the Tag Template menu for Data Catalog.

    Tag data type

    The tag data types that can be added to databases and tables in the Data Catalog and the tag values for each type are as follows.

  • Tags can be added by creating a tag template and applying it containing tags of enum type
  • Select a tag value from detailed items set when creating a tag template
  • Create tag template

    You can create a tag template. You can set and create your own tags, or copy and edit existing tag templates and save them.

    Create My template

    The following is how to create a My template by setting tags yourself:

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menu, in that order.
    2. Click the Configuration> Tag Template menus, in that order.
    3. Click the [Create tag template] button.
    4. When the Create tag template popup window appears, enter the required information.
      • Name: enter tag template name
      • Description: enter the description of tag templates
    5. In the tag list, set the tag to be added to the tag template.
      • After clicking the [Add] button, you can enter the tag information in the input box to add the tag.
        • For more details on data type, see tag data type.
        • If enum is selected as the data type, click the [Detail] button to display the enumerated data detailed setting pop-up window.
          • Enter the enum name, and then click the [Save] button.
          • Click i-datacatalog-add to add the input box of detail items.
          • You can delete the added detail item on clicking i-datacatalog-delete2.
      • You can delete a tag by clicking the checkbox of the tag to select it and then clicking the [Delete] button.
      • Click the [Load template] button to display the popup window for loading tag templates.
        • After selecting the existing tag template by clicking it, click the [Add] button to add a tag of the relevant tag template.
    6. Click the [Create] button.

    Save tag template as

    The following shows how to copy and edit My template and save it with a different name.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menu, in that order.
    2. Click the Configuration> Tag Template menus, in that order.
    3. Click the tag template to be copied to select it, and then click the [Save As] button.
      • A tag template editing pop-up window appears with the tag of the selected tag template added.
    4. Please enter required information and edit tags if necessary.
    5. Click the [Edit] button.

    Copy public template

    Public templates are guide templates provided by Data Catalog. You can copy and edit public templates and save them as My templates.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menu, in that order.
    2. Click the Configuration> Tag Template menus, in that order.
    3. Click the [Public template] tab.
    4. After selecting the template to be copied, click the [Copy as custom template] button.
      • A public template editing pop-up window appears with the tag of the selected tag template added.
    5. Please enter required information and edit tags if necessary.
    6. Click the [Edit] button.

    Search tag templates and check information

    The following is how to search for My templates or public templates and view information.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menu, in that order.
    2. Click the Configuration> Tag Template menus, in that order.
    3. Depending on the tag template you want to check, click the [My templates] tab or the [Public templates] tab.
    4. In the search box, enter the name and description of the tag template, or the tag key, and then click i-datacatalog-search to search for the tag template.
    5. Please click on the tag template you want to see information about the tag template and included tags.
      • Name: Enter a tag template name
      • Description: Description entered when creating a tag template
      • Created date: Date when creating a tag template
      • Updated date: Most recent date when editing a tag template’s information

    Edit tag template

    The following describes how to edit the created tag template.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menu, in that order.
    2. Click the Configuration> Tag Template menus, in that order.
    3. Click the tag template you want to edit and click the [Edit] button.
    4. When the tag template edit popup window appears, edit the tag template information.
    5. Click the [Edit] button.

    Delete tag template

    The following describes how to delete the created tag template.

    Caution

    A deleted tag template can't be recovered.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menu, in that order.
    2. Click the Configuration> Tag Template menus, in that order.
    3. Click the tag template you want to delete and click the [Delete] button.
    4. When the notification popup window appears, check the cautions and click [Delete].
