Tag Template

Available in VPC

Tag templates let you manage multiple tags as a single template. They allow you to easily register multiple tags to databases and tables. You can create and manage tag templates in the Tag Template menu.

The following is a basic description of the Tag Template menu for using Data Catalog.

Tag data type

The following lists the tag data types and tag values that can be added to Data Catalog databases and tables.

Create a tag template

You can create tag templates. You can either manually define tags, or copy and modify an existing tag template.

• Create my template: Create a template by configuring tags manually.
• Save tag template as: Create a separate template by copying and modifying an existing my template.
• Copy public template: Save a public template as my template by copying and modifying it.

Create my template

To create a template by configuring tags manually:

1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog.
2. Navigate to Configuration > Tag Template.
3. Click [Create tag template].
4. When the tag template creation popup opens, enter the basic information.
   • Name: Enter a tag template name.
   • Description: Enter a description for the tag template.
5. Select tags from the tag list to add to the tag template.
   • Click [Add], then enter the tag information in the input box to add the tag.
     • For more information on Data type, see Tag data types.
     • If you select enum as the data type, click [Details] to open the enum data configuration popup.
       • Enter an enum name, then click [Save].
       • Click to add an additional input field.
       • Click to remove an added input field.
   • Select the check boxes for the tags you want to delete and click [Delete].
   • Click [Load tag template] to display the popup for loading tag templates.
     • Select and click a tag template, and then click [Add] to add a tag of the relevant tag template.
6. Click [Create].

Save tag template as

To copy and modify my template to save it under a different name:

1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog.
2. Navigate to Configuration > Tag Template.
3. Click the tag template you want to copy to select it, and then click [Save as].
   • An edit popup for the tag template opens with the tags from the selected template added.
4. Enter the basic information, and modify tags as needed.
   • For more information on each item, see Create my template.
5. Click [Edit].

Copy public template

Public templates are guide templates provided by Data Catalog. You can copy and modify public templates to save them as my templates.

1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog.
2. Navigate to Configuration > Tag Template.
3. Click the [Public templates] tab.
4. Select the template to copy, and then click [Copy to custom template].
   • An edit popup for the tag template opens with the tags from the selected public template added.
5. Enter the basic information, and modify tags as needed.
   • For more information on each item, see Create my template.
6. Click [Edit].

Search tag templates and view information

To search my templates and public templates, and view information:

1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog.
2. Navigate to Configuration > Tag Template.
3. Click either the [My templates] tab or the [Public templates] tab, depending on the tag template you want to view.
4. In the search bar, enter the tag template name or description, or a tag key, and then click to search for tag templates.
5. Click a tag template to view the template and tag details.
   • Name: Name of the tag template
   • Description: Description entered when creating the tag template
   • Creation date and time: Date and time when the tag template is created
   • Update date and time: Date and time when the tag template is last modified

Edit tag templates

To modify the information for a tag template you created:

1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog.
2. Navigate to Configuration > Tag Template.
3. Click the tag template you want to edit, and then click [Edit].
4. In the tag template edit popup, edit the tag template information.

5. Click [Edit].

Delete a tag template

To delete a tag template you created:

1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog.
2. Navigate to Configuration > Tag Template.
3. Click the template you want to delete, and then click [Delete].
4. When the notification popup window appears, read the cautions and click [Delete].
