Datafence glossary

To use Datafence, you must familiarize yourself with a few key terms. The glossary and its description are as follows:

Analysis server

A server that is allocated in the data box and used to perform analysis tasks. Tensorflow, Hadoop, and Linux servers are provided in Datafence

Box

An isolated workspace that belongs to Datafence; a safe analysis environment where you can freely analyze specific data and control arbitrary export

Connect server

A server that serves as a gateway to access the analysis server

Datafence server

A server that manages servers inside Datafence

Datafence environment

A general task space to perform big data analysis tasks, which encompasses large shared data storage and the data box, which is a large infrastructure space isolated from the outside

Data group

A bundle of data that combines multiple NAS, which is a shared data storage of Datafence. Can provide the target analysis data you want to use by data box by small group unit

Network-Attached Storage (NAS)

A service of NAVER Cloud Platform that provides storage that multiple servers can connect through networks and use; used for the shared data storage and the analysis result storage within the data box

Object Storage

A service of NAVER Cloud Platform that can save all types of data to the Internet and search them; use it when you import external files within the data box or export the analysis results to the outside

SSL VPN

A service of NAVER Cloud Platform that provides SSL VPN, which allows you to securely access customer sites anytime and anywhere
