Available in VPC

You might run into the following problems when using Data Stream. Find out causes and possible solutions.

Unable to create or manage topics or partitions due to lack of permission

You do not have permission to create, delete, or edit topics or partitions.

Cause

Occurs when your Sub Account is not authorized to use the Data Stream service or does not have permission to perform the task due to incorrect settings.

Solution

Check the Sub Account's permission status for the Data Stream service and grant the necessary permissions.

Unable to create topic or partition due to exceeded resource limit

You cannot create a topic or partition due to the occurrence of a resource limit exceeded error.

Cause

Occurs when the Data Stream service exceeds its limit, such as the maximum number of resources, and no more new resources can be created.

Solution

Check the resource limits of the Data Stream service and adjust them by deleting unnecessary resources.

Connector creation or configuration error

An error occurs when creating or configuring a connector.

Cause

  • Occurs when the external object storage bucket where data is to be stored through the connector does not exist or the service role assigned to the connector does not have permission to access the bucket.
  • Occurs when a service role with permission to access and perform operations on object storage is missing or has not been set up properly when connecting external object storage to a connector.

Solution

  • Grant access permission to the service role assigned to the connector so that it can access the object storage bucket where the data will be stored.
  • Create a role for the service type in the Sub Account > Roles menu.
