Troubleshoot common issues

The following are examples of common errors you might encounter:

Migration error
Migration was not executed.

Migration incomplete
All migration steps, including replication, have been completed, but the status is displayed as "migration" in the Cloud DB for MySQL console.

Migration error on Definer account set in Source DB
Definer account that is set in Source DB was not automatically created during migration.

DB Config settings not migrated
DB Config settings were not migrated.

Test Connection delay
Test Connection takes too long to run.

"Killed $RESTORECMD" error message
Backup type: "Killed $RESTORECMD" error popup window appears when using mydumper.

DB access setting issues

Source DB and Target DB server communication error
The Source DB and Target DB servers are not communicating.

Source DB access error
Attempted Test Connection but cannot access Source DB.

Display DB ACL check message
When trying Test Connection, DB ACL check message displays.

BACKUP_ADMIN / RELOAD permission
I want to use mydumper method, but I get a message saying that I need BACKUP_ADMIN / RELOAD permissions.

Migration between DBs of different versions

Compatibility issue
When migrating from the lower version of MySQL to the higher version, compatibility issue occurs.

Error when migrating from Source DB MySQL version 5.7 and MariaDB version 10.1 or later to Target DB MySQL version 8.0
Error occurs when migrating from Source DB MySQL version 5.7 and MariaDB version 10.1 or later to Target DB MySQL version 8.0.

Replication consistency issues with MySQL 5.7.40
Replication consistency issues occur in MySQL version 5.7.40.

"Collations unsupported in Target DB are included." error Message
"Collations unsupported in Target DB are included." error message appears.
