This section describes how to create and manage an IPsec VPN Gateway in the NAVER Cloud Platform console to connect IPsec VPN.
IPsec VPN Gateway interface
The basics of using IPsec VPN Gateway are as follows.

View the IPsec VPN Gateway list
You can check the information for each IPsec VPN Gateway that has been created and is in operation. To check:
You can see the list if you have 1 or more IPsec VPN Gateways in operation. If you don't have any IPsec VPN Gateways created and in operation, the list is not displayed in the IPsec VPN Gateway page.
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > IPsec VPN. - Click the IPsec VPN Gateway menu.
- When the list of IPsec VPN Gateway appears, view the summary or click the IPsec VPN Gateway to see details.
- Gateway name: Name entered when creating the IPsec VPN Gateway.
- ZONE: Zone to which the IPsec VPN Gateway belongs.
- Public IP address: Public IP address of the created IPsec VPN Gateway.
- Guaranteed bandwidth: Guaranteed traffic bandwidth. Click
to change the guaranteed bandwidth. - Status: Current status of the IPsec VPN Gateway.
- Creating: Status in which the system is creating the IPsec VPN Gateway using the information you provided.
- Running: Status in which the IPsec VPN Gateway has been created and is available for use.
- Updating: Status in which the system is changing the IPsec VPN Gateway using the information you provided.
- Returning: Status in which the system is deleting the IPsec VPN Gateway you created.
- Network Interface status: Status of the IPsec VPN Gateway interface. Click [View status] to check the current status of the IPsec VPN Gateway.
- Default Gateway IP address: Default gateway address.
- IKEv1 Policy: Configured key exchange policy. Click
to change the configuration. - Created on: Date and time when the IPsec VPN Gateway was created.
Create IPsec VPN Gateway
To create an IPsec VPN Gateway in the NAVER Cloud Platform console, follow these steps:
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > IPsec VPN. - Click the IPsec VPN Gateway menu.
- Click [Create IPsec VPN Gateway].
- In the IPsec VPN Gateway creation popup, enter the information and click [OK].
- Gateway name: Enter 3–30 characters using lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (-).
- Select Zone: Select the zone where the Private Subnet is located.
- Guaranteed bandwidth: Select the desired bandwidth.
- IKEv1 Policy
- Authentication: Fixed to the pre-shared method.
- Encryption: Select the algorithm to encrypt authentication data.
- D-H Group: Select the symmetric key exchange algorithm used to generate keys for encrypting authentication data.
- Hash: Select the algorithm used to verify data integrity during authentication exchange.
- Lifetime: Enter the interval for generating new keys. You can set a value between 120 and 2,147,483,647 seconds. If you select unlimited, the system does not generate new keys.
- Click [OK].
- The IPsec VPN Gateway is added to the IPsec VPN Gateway list and changes from Creating > Operating.
Edit IPsec VPN Gateway
You can edit the information of a created IPsec VPN Gateway. To edit:
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > IPsec VPN. - Click the IPsec VPN Gateway menu.
- In the IPsec VPN Gateway list, select the item you want to edit, then click [Change].
- When the edit popup appears, update the information.
- You can change the guaranteed bandwidth and the IKEv1 Policy.
- If you change the IKEv1 Policy, you must apply the same change to the customer VPN gateway.
- Click [OK].
- In the IPsec VPN Gateway list, the status changes from Changing > Running.
Upon decreasing the guaranteed bandwidth, momentarily packet losses may occur.
Delete IPsec VPN Gateway
To delete the created IPsec VPN Gateway:
If an IPsec VPN Gateway is connected to an IPsec VPN Tunnel, you cannot delete it. Delete the IPsec VPN Tunnel first, then delete the IPsec VPN Gateway.
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > IPsec VPN. - Click the IPsec VPN Gateway menu.
- Click the IPsec VPN Gateway you want to delete, then click [Delete].
- When the popup appears click [Yes].
- In the IPsec VPN Gateway list, the IPsec VPN Gateway is displayed as Returning and disappears.
