You might run into the following problems when using Media Connect Center. Find out causes and possible solutions.
File access permission
I received a message that the file is set to private and VOD Station cannot create an HLS URL when uploading files and encoding videos.
Cause
If the access option to Object Storage private bucket files is set to "Do not allow" in the VOD Station channel settings, an HLS URL cannot be created.
Solution
If you set the private bucket file access option to 'Allow' when you create a VOD station channel, you can create and stream an HLS URL even if the Object Storage bucket permission is set to 'Private'.
To set permissions to access private files, follow these steps:
- Access the Media Connect Center External Console.
- In the menu bar, click VOD Station > Streaming channel > [Create channel].
- For Advanced settings, select Enabled.
- Select Allow to allow access to private bucket files.
- Click the [Create] button to create a channel.
