Available in Classic and VPC
You can migrate data using NAVER Cloud Platform's NAS.
- You can migrate data without zone restrictions in Classic and VPC. However, data migration between different Regions is not supported.
- For more information on NAS, see NAS user guide.
Data migration using NAS
To migrate data between servers using NAS, conduct the following steps in order:
1. Create NAS volume
To use NAS, a NAS volume must be created first to save the data shared among servers. The following describes how to create an NAS volume from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Storage > NAS menus, in that order.
- Click the Volume menu.
- Click the [Create NAS volume] button.
- When the NAS volume creation page appears, proceed with the following steps in order
For more information on how to create a NAS volume, see Create NAS volume.
Mount NFS volume (Linux)
You can mount the NFS protocol-based NAS volume that was created in NAVER Cloud Platform on the Linux server and use it. The following describes how to mount the NAS volume on the Linux server.
1. Access the server
2. Install the NFS-related package
3. Start the NFS-related daemon
4. Run mount
5. Set mount information retention (fstab settings)
Mount CIFS volume (Windows)
You can mount the CIFS protocol-based NAS volume that was created in NAVER Cloud Platform on the Windows server and use it.
The following describes how to mount the CIFS volume on the Windows server through network drive connection.
You can mount the CIFS volume by entering commands into the command prompt.
Press the [Windows] + [R] keys on Windows servers to open the Run dialog box.
Enter cmd, and then press the [Enter] key.
When the command prompt window is opened, enter the following commands:
`net use [drive name]: \\10.000.00.00\n0000000_CIFS001 /persistent:yes /user:[CIFS authentication User name] [CIFS authentication password]`
- /persistent:yes is a option that maintains the connection even after you reboot the network drive.
