    You can mount the CIFS protocol-based NAS volume that was created in NAVER Cloud Platform on the Windows server and use it.
    Take the following steps to mount the CIFS volume on the Windows server through network drive connection.

    1. Access server

    Before accessing the server, check server access preparations by referring to Prepare for server access. If you're ready to access the server, access the Windows server using the 'Remote desktop connection' in the local PC.

    • This guide describes how to access to a server with Windows Server 16 Standard English version installed using the 'Remote Desktop Connection' program on a Windows 10 local PC.
    • The detailed procedure or setting procedure may differ depending on the version and language of the operating system running in the local PC or server.
    1. Run the Remote Desktop Connection in the local PC.
    2. Enter the public IP of the Windows server and click the [Connect] button. (see public IP item in the Server details)
    3. When the log-in screen is displayed, enter the account name and password that were checked in the Get admin password menu in the server. (see Get admin password)

    2. Run mount

    Take the following steps to mount the CIFS volume on the server after accessing the Windows server.

    • In Windows OS, the term "network drive mapping" is used instead of "volume mount". However, the two terms refer to the same task.
    • This guide explains how to mount a CIFS NAS volume on a server with Windows Server 16 Standard English version installed.
    • The detailed procedure or setting procedure may differ depending on the version and language of the operating system running in the server.
    1. Click Windows System > This PC after clicking i-nas_start in Windows Server.

    2. Right-click the This PC item and then click the Map network drive... Click the menu.

    3. Select or enter the following setting value and set options in the Map Network Drive pop-up window and click the [Finish] button.

      • Drive: drive name to connect (mount) CIFS volume (<example> Z:)
      • Folder: information of CIFS volume mount (<example> \10.000.00.00\n0000000_CIFS001, see mount information on the NAS volume detail screen)
      • Reconnect at sign-in (optional): maintains the network drive connection even after server reboot.
      • Connect using different credentials (required): requests the user to enter the credential information of the CIFS volume when connecting the network drive.
    4. On the Enter Network Credentials pop-up window, enter the CIFS credential information (User name, Password) set while creating the NAS volume and press the [OK] button. (see CIFS credential information setting)

      • Remember my credentials (optional): saves credential information when connecting the network.
      • When successfully connected, the content of the connected network drive is displayed in a new File Explorer window.
