A Peer Host is an alias for an external host with a public IP address that you want to access through a NAT Gateway. This section explains how to create and delete a Peer Host used to configure the server that accesses an external host through a NAT Gateway and the target host IP (Peer IP).
Peer Host Interface
To access Peer Host, in the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > NAT Gateway > Peer Host. The Peer Host interface is laid out as follows:

View Peer Host list
You can view the Peer Host list and detailed information for each Peer Host. To check:
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > NAT Gateway. - Click Peer Host.
- In the Peer Host list, view summary information or click a Peer Host to view detailed information.
- NAT Gateway name (Instance ID):: Name of the NAT Gateway to which the Peer Host belongs
- Peer Host name: Name of the created Peer Host
- Status: Peer Host status
- Updating: State in which the system is creating or updating the Peer Host
- Running: State in which the Peer Host is operating normally
- Deleting: State in which the system is deleting the Peer Host
- Peer IP: Public IP address of the external server accessed through the NAT Gateway
- Private IP toward peer: Private IP address mapped to the public IP of the external server, which you use to access the external server
- Number of servers: Number of servers associated with the Peer Host
- Memo: Description of the Peer Host entered during creation. You cannot edit it after creating the Peer Host
- Created on: Date when the Peer Host was created
- Applied server: Name of the server applied to the Peer Host
Create Peer Host
You can create a new Peer Host. To create:
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > NAT Gateway. - Click Peer Host.
- Click [Create Peer Host].
- Enter the creation details for the Peer Host.
- NAT Gateway name: Select a NAT Gateway created in the NAT Gateway menu (see Create NAT Gateway).
- Peer Host name: Name of Peer Host name to create.
- Peer IP address: Enter the public IP address of the target external server.
- Register servers to connect: Select internal servers that will connect to the external server.
- You can search for internal servers by entering the server name in the search box in the list.
- You can filter the list by selecting a zone from the Zone drop-down list.
- To register a server, select the server from the Full Server list and click
. - To exclude an applied server, select the server from the applied server list and click
.
- Click [Create].
Change Applied Servers
You can add servers to a created Peer Host or exclude applied servers. To change:
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > NAT Gateway. - Click Peer Host.
- Select the Load Balancer to change the listener setting and click [Change applied servers].
- Add servers to or exclude servers from the Peer Host.
- You can search for internal servers by entering the server name in the search box in the list.
- You can filter the list by selecting a zone from the Zone drop-down list.
- To register a server, select the server from the Full Server list and click
. - To exclude an applied server, select the server from the applied server list and click
.
- Click [OK].
Even if you change the applied servers, the system keeps existing active sessions intact. After existing sessions end, the system applies the changes to new sessions.
Delete Peer Host
You can delete the created Peer Host. To delete:
Deleting a Peer Host may prevent other services integrated with that Peer Host from working properly. You cannot restore a deleted Peer Host. Please delete it carefully.
- In the Classic environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > NAT Gateway. - Click Peer Host.
- Select the Peer Host to delete, then click [Delete Peer Host].
- When the Peer Host Map delete popup appears, click [Delete].
- When the Peer Host popup appears, click [OK].
