Available in VPC

With the Private Link feature, you can enhance security by connecting your customer's VPC and various services in a private network.
To use the Private Link feature, you need to create an endpoint interface and select a service (NAVER Cloud Platform Service) that can be integrated for the endpoint service.

  • The service that can be integrated to Private Link's endpoint interface (NAVER Cloud Platform Service) will be added in the future.
  • Private Link is a paid service.
    • You can view pricing at Portal > Services > Networking > VPC > Pricing.
    • Data processing (GB) charges are provided free of charge for a limited time and will transition to a paid model later. You will be notified in advance if you need to upgrade to paid plan.
    • If usage for a billing unit (hours, GB) include a fractional value, the system rounds it up for billing. (for example, 0.2 hours of usage will be billed as 1 hour, and 0.1 GB of usage will be billed as 1 GB)

Check the Endpoint Interface list

To check the details of each item in the list of endpoint interfaces that you have created and that are currently in operation:

  1. In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Networking > VPC.
  2. Click Private Link > Endpoint Interface menu.
  3. When the list of endpoint interfaces you created appears, check the summary information or click an endpoint interface to view detailed information.
    • Endpoint Interface name: Name (ID value) of the endpoint interface.
    • IP address: IP address of the endpoint interface.
    • Status: Status of the endpoint interface.
      • Creating: The state in which the system is creating the endpoint interface using user-provided information.
      • Running: The state in which the system has completed creating the endpoint interface using user-provided information, and the Endpoint Interface is available for use.
      • Configuring: The state in which the system is updating the endpoint interface configuration using user-provided information (e.g., configuring ACG).
      • Shutting down: Status in which the endpoint interface created with the information you entered is being deleted.
    • VPC name: Name of the VPC selected when creating or configuring the Endpoint Interface.
    • Subnet: Subnet name and zone selected when creating or configuring the endpoint interface.
    • Connection status: Connection status of the endpoint interface.
      • Requesting: State in which the system is requesting a connection for the endpoint interface.
      • Configuring: State in which the system has accepted the connection request and is configuring the endpoint interface.
      • Accepted: State in which the system has accepted the connection request, completed configuration, and connected the endpoint interface.
      • Rejected: State in which the system has rejected the connection request (you can no longer use the rejected Endpoint Interface and must delete it ).
      • Shutting down: Status in which the endpoint interface created with the information you entered is being deleted.
    • ACG: Name the ACG selected when creating or configuring the endpoint interface.
    • Created on: Date and time when the Private Link was created.
    • Memo: Notes related to the endpoint interface, which you can edit by clicking [Edit].

Create an endpoint interface

To create an endpoint interface:

  1. In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Networking > VPC.
  2. Click Private Link > Endpoint Interface menu.
  3. Click [Create Endpoint Interface].
  4. When the Create Endpoint Interface interface appears, enter the information of the endpoint interface you want to create.
    • Endpoint Interface name: Enter a name for the endpoint interface using letters, numbers, and hyphens (-), with a length of 3–30 characters.
    • VPC: Select the VPC to be used for the endpoint interface.
    • Subnet: Select the subnet of the VPC to be used the endpoint interface.
    • IP: Select the IP assignment method for the endpoint interface.
      • If Automatic assignment is selected, the IP will be automatically assigned to a random IP address from the IP band of the selected subnet.
      • If Enter directly is selected, you can enter a specific IP address from the IP band of the selected subnet to assign it
    • ACG: Select the ACG for the endpoint interface.
      Note
      • For ACGs applied to endpoint interfaces, the outbound settings are ignored, and only the inbound settings are applied.
  5. Click [Next].
  6. When the Select Endpoint Service interface appears, enter/select the information for the endpoint service that you want to connect with the endpoint interface you are creating.
    • Endpoint Service type: Select the endpoint service type to connect to the Endpoint Interface you are creating.
      • If you select NAVER Cloud Platform Service, you can select any service from the list of NCP services that provide Private Link connections.
        Note
        • The service that can be integrated to Private Link's endpoint interface (NAVER Cloud Platform Service) will be added in the future.
      • After selecting Endpoint Service, click [Next].
  7. Click [Save].
  8. Check the status of the created endpoint interface in the list on the Endpoint Interface page.
    • Creating: The state in which the system is creating the endpoint interface using user-provided information.
    • Running: State in which the system has completed creating the endpoint interface using user-provided information, and the endpoint interface is available for use.

Delete an endpoint interface

You can delete an endpoint interface that has been created and is in operation. To delete:

  1. In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Networking > VPC.
  2. Click Private Link > Endpoint Interface menu.
  3. Click the endpoint interface you want to delete and click [Delete Endpoint Interface].
  4. When the Delete Endpoint Interface popup appears, click [Delete].
  5. Check the status of the endpoint interface you want to delete in the endpoint interfaces list.
    • Shutting down: State in which the system is deleting the endpoint interface.
