Notification Recipient is a NAVER Cloud Platform service that allows you to add and manage the recipients and recipient groups for alarms when there are any events, such as monitoring. You can add recipients and manage their contact numbers and email addresses for notifications, as well as manage notification recipients in groups. You can specify the notification recipients by recipient group when setting event rules for notifications to the recipients in that group when an event occurs.
To access the Notification Recipient menu, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
Notification Recipient interface
The basic layout of the Notification Recipient interface is as follows.

Creating Recipient Groups
You can specify recipients to receive notifications when an event occurs according to notification groups. To receive notifications when an event occurs, you must create a recipient group and add recipients. For information on how to add a recipient to a recipient group, refer to Assigning Recipients.
To create a recipient group, follow the steps below.
- Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- Click Region and Platform in the top right corner of the console interface.
- After selecting your region and platform, click [Apply].
- Click
in the upper left corner of the console interface. - Go to Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient.
- Click
in the recipient group list. - Enter a name for the recipient group in the input field.

Editing Recipient Groups
To edit a recipient group, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Place the cursor on
of the recipient group to edit, then click the Edit button. - Edit the recipient group name in the input window displayed, and click
.
Deleting Recipient Groups
To delete a recipient group, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Place the cursor on
of the recipient group to delete, then click the Delete button. - Click the [Delete] button in the recipient group deletion popup window.
Adding Recipients
To add a recipient, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Click the [Add Recipient] button.
- Enter the recipient information in the recipient addition popup window.
- Entering the mobile phone number is optional. An authentication process is required to register a mobile phone number for the protection of personal information.
- You can select a recipient group to add new notification recipients to existing recipient groups.
- Click the [Register] button.
You can also add recipients from the My Account > Manage account and security > Manage notifications menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
Assigning Recipients
To assign a recipient to a recipient group, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Select the recipient to assign to a recipient group from the list of recipients, and click [Assign].
- If the selected recipient is already assigned to a recipient group, the [Assign] button will be disabled. To change a recipient’s group, refer to Moving/Copying Recipients.
- Select a group to assign the recipient to from the assignment popup window.
- Click the [Assign] button.
- On the assignment popup window, click the [OK] button.
Editing Recipient Information
For recipients added through the My Account > Account & Security Management > Notification Management menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, you can edit recipient information through the Notification Management menu.
To edit recipient information, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Select the recipient to edit and click the [Edit] button.
- Apply the changes in the edit recipient information popup window.
- Click the [Edit] button.
Moving/Copying Recipients
You can move a recipient assigned to a recipient group to another recipient group, or copy the recipient to assign this person to additional recipient groups. To move/copy a recipient, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Select the recipient to move or copy and click the [Move/Copy] button.
- Select a recipient group to move or copy the recipient to from the copy/move recipient popup window.
- To move recipient groups, click the [Move] button.
- To assign a recipient to an additional recipient group, click the [Copy] button.
- Click the [OK] button on the move/copy recipient popup window.
Deleting Recipients
To delete a recipient, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Select the recipient to delete from the list of recipients, then click the [Delete] button.
- Check the details in the notification recipient deletion popup window, then click the [Delete] button.
Notification recipients added through the My Account > Account & Security Management > Notification Management menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform console will also be shown in the Notification Recipient menu. Notification recipients added through the Account & Security Management > Notification Management menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform console cannot be deleted through the Notification Recipient menu, and can only be deleted through Account & Security Management > Notification Management in the console.
(However, you cannot delete the default point of contact set in the Account & Security management > Notification Management menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform.)
When you delete a notification recipient added through the Account & Security management > Notification Management menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform portal, the recipient is also deleted from the Notification Recipient menu, and the monitoring settings set for the deleted recipient are deleted as well.
Removing a Recipient from a Recipient Group
To remove a recipient from a recipient group, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Click the recipient group for the recipient you want to remove from the recipient group list.
- Select the recipient to remove and click the [Delete] button.
- Check the details in the notification recipient group deletion popup window, then click [Delete].
Checking Recipient Status
To check which service notifications are sent in case of an event, follow the steps below.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Management & Governance > Notification Recipient menu in order. - Choose the recipient you want to check, and click Setting Status > View Contents.
- Check the name of the service sending notifications to the recipient and click ‘Shortcut’ to go to the console for that service.
