Available in Classic and VPC

In the Batch menu, you can request translation for up to 100 documents at once and download the results. You can create and download documents using NAVER Cloud Platform’s Object Storage to use the batch feature. For more information on how to create a bucket with Object Storage, see Object Storage user guide

  • The supported document formats, languages, and response status codes are the same as those for API document translation.
  • For all other usage policies, see Papago Doc Translation API guide.

Batch interface

To access the Batch menu, navigate to Menu > Services > AI Services > Papago Translation > Batch from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
The Batch interface includes the following components:

Component Description
① Menu name Current menu name.
② Basic features Create batch, view service details, refresh page
③ Batch processing information Details on batch processing results based on the translation status.

Create a batch

To create a batch and request translation:

  1. Navigate to Menu > Services > AI Services > Papago Translation > Batch from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Click [Create batch]
  3. Set the translation request details:

    • Application: Select the application that will execute the document translation.
    • Source language: Select 1 language for the language of the source text.
    • Target language: Select n languages for the languages of the target text.
      • Only the supported language pairs corresponding to the selected source language will be displayed
      • Multiple target languages can be selected at once
    • Glossary: Select the glossary to apply to the translation result.
      • If the selected language pair does not support glossaries, the glossary option is automatically disabled
  4. Specify the path to Object Storage.
    • Requested file storage path: Details of the bucket in Object Storage where the documents to be batch translated are stored.
    • Result file storage path: Details of the bucket in Object Storage where the documents batch translated are stored.
  5. Click [Create].
Caution
  • If a glossary is not supported for the selected language pair, it will be automatically disabled and not applied to the translation result.
  • A maximum of 100 files can be included in each batch translation request.
  • You can create up to 3 batches all at once either before translation or during translation, and the batches are processed in the order they are requested.
  • Make sure that your Object Storage subscription is maintained until the translation is completed, and check the status of the storage path (bucket) where the results will be saved.
  • The requested file path and the result file storage path cannot be the same or set in a parent/child folder relationship.

Edit a batch

To edit a batch:

  1. Before translation begins, select the [Settings] button for the batch you want to edit.
  2. Edit the details of the translation request.
Caution
  • After creating a batch, you can edit the details of the translation request until the translation begins.
  • You cannot edit Object Storage paths. Cancel the batch and recreate it.

Cancel a batch

To cancel a batch:

  1. Select the [Cancel] button for the batch you want to cancel.

  2. Select [Cancel task] at the bottom of the interface.

  3. When the popup window appears, click [OK].
Note
  • Documents that were translated prior to the cancellation can be found in the result file storage path.
  • The Batch menu in the console does not support re-download of documents that have already been translated.
