Notification Setting

From Notification Setting, you can set notification recipients or methods for notifications about the status of security events detected and blocked by the security services of Security Monitoring.

The basics of using Notification Setting are as follows.

View notification recipient and notification method

You can check the target and method for the notifications about security event status by security service. The following describes how to view the information.

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Region menu, click and select the region you're using.
2. From the Platform menu, click and select Classic.
3. Click the Services > Security > Security Monitoring menus, in that order.
4. Click the Notification Setting menu.
5. Click the tab menu of the security service for which you want to view the notification recipient and notification method.
6. View the notification recipient and notification method.
   • Notification recipient: the target to be notified when security events occur
   • Notification method: the means of notifying notification recipients when security events occur
   • Mobile phone number: the mobile phone number of the notification recipient if the notification method is SMS
   • Email: the email address of the notification recipient if the notification method is email

Set notification recipient and notification method

You can set the targets and methods for the notifications about security event status. For the notification recipient, you can select from admins who are already registered. For registration of admins, refer to Manage notification recipients.
If no notification recipient is set, then the notifications are sent to NAVER Cloud Platform's account ID (email address) when security events for IDS, Anti-virus, and Anti-DDoS occur. The notifications are not delivered for WAF and IPS.
The following describes how to set up the notification recipient and notification method.

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Region menu, click and select the region you're using.
2. From the Platform menu, click and select Classic.
3. Click the Services > Security > Security Monitoring menus, in that order.
4. Click the Notification Setting menu.
5. Click the tab menu of the security service for which you want to set the notification recipient and notification method.
6. Set the notification recipient and notification method.
   • Add: Click Notification recipient management group, Notification recipient, and Notification method in order to select it, and then click the [Add] button.
     
   • Delete: Click the [Delete] button for the notification recipient row to be deleted.

Manage notification recipients

You can add, edit, or delete admins to be specified as notification recipients. You can also create groups to manage admins effectively. These notification recipient management tasks are performed in Monitoring of NAVER Cloud Platform. This guide describes how to go to Monitoring to manage notification recipients. For more information on management methods, refer to the Monitoring Guide.
The following describes how to manage notification recipients.

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Region menu, click and select the region you're using.
2. From the Platform menu, click and select Classic.
3. Click the Services > Security > Security Monitoring menus, in that order.
4. Click the Notification Setting menu.
5. Click the [Manage notification recipients] button.
6. When the Notification recipient page of Cloud Insight appears, manage notification recipients by referring to the Monitoring Guide.
