Notification Setting

From Notification Setting, you can set notification recipients and methods for notifications about the status of security events detected and blocked by the security services of Security Monitoring.

The Notification Setting interface includes the following components:

View notification recipient and notification method

You can check the recipient and method for the notifications about security event status by security service. To view the information:

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Classic environment, navigate to > Services > Security > Security Monitoring.
2. Click the Notification Setting menu.
3. Click the tab menu of the security service for which you want to view the notification recipient and notification method.
4. View the notification recipient and notification method.
   • Notification recipient: The notification recipients for when security events occur.
   • Notification method: The method to send notifications to the recipients when security events occur.
   • Mobile phone number: Mobile phone numbers of the notification recipients when the notification method is SMS.
   • Email: Email addresses of the notification recipients when the notification method is email.

Set notification recipient and notification method

You can set the recipients to be notified of security event occurrences via email or SMS. For the notification recipient, you can select from admins who are already registered. For the registration of admins, see Manage notification recipient.
If no notification recipient is set, notifications for IDS, Anti-Virus, and Anti-DDoS security events will be sent to the NAVER Cloud Platform account ID (email address). However, WAF and IPS notifications will not be delivered.
To set the notification recipient and notification method:

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Classic environment, navigate to > Services > Security > Security Monitoring.
2. Click the Notification Setting menu.
3. Click the tab menu of the security service for which you want to set the notification recipient and notification method.
4. Set the notification recipient and notification method.
   • To add: Click and select Notification recipient management group, Notification recipient, and Notification method in order, and click [Add].
     
   • To delete: Click [Delete] on the row of the notification recipient to delete.

Manage notification recipient

You can add, edit, or delete admins to be assigned as notification recipients. You can also create groups to manage admins effectively. These notification recipient management tasks are performed in Monitoring of NAVER Cloud Platform. This guide walks you through how to go to Monitoring to manage notification recipients. For more details of how to manage, see the Monitoring user guide.
To manage a notification recipient:

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console's Classic environment, navigate to > Services > Security > Security Monitoring.
2. Click the Notification Setting menu.
3. Click [Manage notification recipient].
4. When the Notification Recipient interface of Cloud Insight appears, manage notification recipients by referring to Monitoring user guide.
