The Simple & Easy Notification Service integrations guide explains the changes resulting from the service integration and precautions for using the service.
The Simple & Easy Notification Service user guide will be updated on an ongoing basis. After the service integration date of September 17, be sure to review the latest version of the guide.

Changes after the integration with Cloud Outbound Mailer
The following table compares the Cloud Outbound Mailer service before and after the service integration:
| Type | Before integration | After integration |
|---|---|---|
| Service location | Cloud Outbound Mailer (standalone service) | Within a Simple & Easy Notification Service project. |
| Resource management | Cloud Outbound Mailer resource type | Simple & Easy Notification Service resource type. |
| Billing item | Cloud Outbound Mailer | Simple & Easy Notification Service (starting from the transition month) > MAIL. |
| API | Cloud Outbound Mailer | Simple & Easy Notification Service API (integrated API); the existing Cloud Outbound Mailer API remains available for 12 months only for migrated projects. |
- The system automatically creates a Simple & Easy Notification Service project containing only the Mail service for existing Cloud Outbound Mailer customers.
- The automatically created project is assigned a random name in the
mail-UUIDformat. View the project name in the Simple & Easy Notification Service console. - The system migrates existing Cloud Outbound Mailer resources and task history to the automatically created Simple & Easy Notification Service project.
If you delete the project (mail-UUID) automatically created as part of the migration, you can no longer use the existing Cloud Outbound Mailer API.
- After deleting the project, only the new APIs available through Simple & Easy Notification Service can be used. If you are currently using the existing API, complete the transition to the new API before deleting the project.
- Cloud Activity Tracer service settings created based on existing Cloud Outbound Mailer resources may need to be updated after the integration.
- After the integration, be sure to verify that the permission scopes in the sub account permission policies are configured as intended.
Changes to Resource Manager
Following the service integration, resource information managed in Resource Manager changes as follows:
- The project resource for the Mail service is added as a Simple & Easy Notification Service resource.
- Existing Cloud Outbound Mailer resources and task history are migrated to Simple & Easy Notification Service.
- Resource NRNs, ResourceType names, and task (action) history names are changed to those used by Simple & Easy Notification Service.
- The Unsubscribe resource type in Cloud Outbound Mailer is removed.
If you have created a tracer in Cloud Activity Tracer based on Cloud Outbound Mailer resource types or actions, the tracer may not function properly after the integration. Therefore, update the tracer settings to use the applicable Simple & Easy Notification Service resource types and actions.
Changes to Sub Account
Simple & Easy Notification Service permissions are managed on a per-project basis. Following the service integration, sub account permissions change as follows:
- Existing Cloud Outbound Mailer permissions are mapped to the corresponding Simple & Easy Notification Service permissions.
- Existing Cloud Outbound Mailer permissions are not removed from the policies. Instead, the corresponding Simple & Easy Notification Service permissions are added to the same policies.
- Any permissions associated with the added Simple & Easy Notification Service permissions are also added.
- Example: When the
Execute/SendMessagepermission is added, theView/ProjectDetailandView/ProjectListpermissions are also added.
- Example: When the
Detailed permission mapping information will be provided at a later date.
The service integration may change the scope of sub account permissions. Be sure to review the permission policies after the integration.
- Automatically added Simple & Easy Notification Service permissions are limited to the migrated project.
- If you need service-wide permissions for Simple & Easy Notification Service, configure them separately.
- After the integration, sub accounts that already have service-wide permissions for Simple & Easy Notification Service have all permissions for the Mail service.
- The permission scope expands from SMS and Biz Message to include Mail, allowing the applicable sub accounts to send, view, and edit emails. Make sure that the permission scope has not been expanded unintentionally.
- A sub account that has Cloud Outbound Mailer permissions but does not use the service may not be included in the automatic permission mapping.
- Configure the required Simple & Easy Notification Service permissions manually if necessary.
Changes to viewing pricing information
Starting with the transition month, you can view pricing information for the Mail service in Simple & Easy Notification Service.
- You can continue to view details for pricing information from before the transition in Cloud Outbound Mailer.
- Credits and discounts are applied separately to SMS, Biz Message, and Mail. The existing credit and discount categories continue to apply.
Availability by Region
Following the service integration, Simple & Easy Notification Service availability changes by Region as follows:
| Region | SMS | Biz Message | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Korea | Provided | Provided | Provided |
| Japan | Not provided | Not provided | Provided |
| Singapore | Not provided | Not provided | Not provided |
In the Japan Region, Simple & Easy Notification Service is available in a form that supports only the Mail service. SMS and Biz Message items may appear on the pricing information page, in Resource Manager, or in Cloud Activity Tracer for the overseas Region, but these services are not actually available.
Discontinuation of Cloud Outbound Mailer in the Singapore Region
Cloud Outbound Mailer is discontinued in the Singapore Region effective September 17, 2026.
- After the discontinuation, Cloud Outbound Mailer is no longer available in the Singapore Region.
- If you currently use Cloud Outbound Mailer in the Singapore Region, switch to the Korea (KR) Region service before the discontinuation date. From September 17, the service is provided through Simple & Easy Notification Service.
- The KR Region operates in a separate environment, and migrating existing service usage records is difficult due to issues associated with cross-border data transfers.
After Cloud Outbound Mailer is discontinued in the Singapore Region, you can no longer access the email delivery history or resource information for that Region. Complete the transition to the Korea (KR) Region before September 17, 2026, to avoid service interruption.
