Event

Available in VPC

Event is a feature that manages pre-planned maintenance operations to maintain the stability and availability of services on NAVER Cloud Platform. You can receive notifications for events and change the schedule or execute them immediately as needed.

Note

Changing schedule and immediate execution are available only for Server (VPC) and Ncloud Kubernetes Service (VPC) nodes.
Other resources such as Cloud DB can receive only SMS or email notifications for configured events. If you need immediate schedule changes, contact Customer Support.

View event information

You can view the event information on the Event interface.

Event interface

To access the Event interface, navigate to Console > i_menu > Services > Compute > Server > Event in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

The Event interface includes the following components:

Create event

You cannot manually create events. You can only check existing events, change the event schedule, or execute the event immediately.

Change event

To edit a created event:

  1. In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Compute > Server.
  2. Click the Event menu.
  3. In the event list, select the resource for which you want to change the schedule or execute immediately, and select [Change schedule] or [Execute now].
    57. You can change the schedule only to a time earlier than the originally scheduled event time. After the change, you receive an SMS or email notification about the update.
    58. Execute now starts the scheduled event immediately. After you select Execute now, you receive an SMS or email notification about the result.
Caution

When you select Execute now, the server may stop and start depending on the event type.

Delete event

You cannot manually delete (cancel) an event. You can only check existing events, change the event schedule, or execute the event immediately.

Event notifications

When an event occurs, you receive notifications by email and SMS.
To prevent missing event-related information, notifications are also sent to the designated deputy manager and partner account in addition to the member account that owns the resource.
Depending on event status changes, reminders, and schedule structure, the same customer may receive multiple notifications. The more resources you have, the more notifications you might receive.
