This section describes how to create and manage a group. A group refers to a group of SSO users, and it can be useful when you assign permissions to multiple SSO users.

Groups interface

The description of the Groups interface is as follows:

Component Description
① Menu name Current menu name.
② Basic features Features displayed when you enter the Groups menu for the first time.
  • [Create group]: Create a new group.
  • [Learn more]: Go to the Ncloud Single Sign-On overview page.
  • [Refresh]: Reload the current page.
③ Post-registration features
  • [Edit]: Edit the information of the registered group.
  • [Delete]: Delete the registered group.
④ Group list Check the group list and information.
⑤ Search You can search by group name, group ID, and NRN.

View group details

To view group details:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Ncloud Single Sign-On.
  2. Navigate to External IdP login > Groups.
  3. When the group list appears, click the group name to check details.
    • Group name: The group name entered by the user.
    • Creation date and time: Date and time when the group was created.
    • Edited date and time: The date and time when group information was last edited.
    • Group ID: Unique information that distinguishes a group. Assigned automatically.
    • NRN: The resource information of the group. Assigned automatically.
    • Group description: Description of the group entered by the user.
    • Tag: Assign tag keys/values to easily classify SSO groups.
      • View, create, edit, and delete all tags through [Tag management].
      • Only 1 tag value can be assigned to 1 tag key.
  4. Check the tab at the bottom of the details.
    • [Users]: The list of SSO users in the group.
    • [Assignments]: The list of assignments to which a group is assigned.

Create groups

To create a group:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Ncloud Single Sign-On.
  2. Navigate to External IdP login > Groups.
  3. Click [Create groups].
  4. Enter the name and description for the group.
    • Enter 2-30 characters for the group name.
    • Group description should not exceed 300 characters.
  5. In the tag component, enter the tag Key:Value to classify groups.
  6. Click [Create].

Edit group information

Group description is the only group information that can be edited.

To edit group description:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Ncloud Single Sign-On.
  2. Navigate to External IdP login > Groups.
  3. Click the checkbox of the group whose group description you want to edit, and click the [Edit].
  4. Edit the group description, and click the [Edit].

Add SSO user to group and delete it

To add SSO users to an already created group or delete them:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Ncloud Single Sign-On.
  2. Navigate to External IdP login > Groups.
  3. Click the group name.
  4. To add an SSO user, click the [Add] on the [User] tab.
    • To delete an SSO user, select the user to delete on the [User] tab, and click the [Delete].
  5. Once the User List popup window appears, select an SSO user, and click the [Save].

Cancel connected assignments

To cancel assignments connected to the group:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Ncloud Single Sign-On.
  2. Navigate to External IdP login > Groups.
  3. Click the group name.
  4. Click the checkbox of the assignment name to delete on the [Assignments] tab, and click the [Delete].

Delete groups

To delete a created group:

Caution

Once you delete a group, you cannot restore it. So decide carefully.

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Ncloud Single Sign-On.
  2. Navigate to External IdP login > Groups.
  3. Click the checkbox of the group you want to delete.
  4. Click the [Delete].
  5. Once the Delete popup window appears, click the [Delete].
