You might run into the following problems when using Sub Account: Find out causes and possible solutions.

Resource management by Sub Account

You want to manage resources by Sub Account.
You want to assign permissions so the Sub Account can view only resources in a specific region.

Cause

Sub Account does not support permissions by region or resource-level management features.

Solution

As explained in the cause section, Sub Account does not support resource management by account. If you need to manage resources within your organization, use the Organization service.

Cannot create VPC

You cannot create a VPC from a Sub Account.

Cause

You can create up to 3 VPCs in total, including those created by the main account and all Sub Accounts. If 3 VPCs already exist, Sub Accounts cannot create additional VPCs.

Solution

As explained in the cause section, the maximum number of VPCs that can be created by the main account and all sub accounts combined is 3. Sub accounts cannot create 3 VPCs independently, so check the overall usage status across all accounts before creating a server.
