You might run into the following problems when using Sub Account: Find out causes and possible solutions.

Cannot call APIs with a Sub Account

You cannot call APIs using a Sub Account.
The My Account > Account and Security Management > Security Management > Access Management > API Authentication Keys menu in the console is not visible in the subaccount.
#### Cause
The Sub Account does not have permission to access the API Gateway.

Solution

The main account must assign API Gateway access permission to the Sub Account.

  • If you are using a Sub Account, ask the main account to assign API Gateway access permission.
  • If you are the main account, go to the Sub Account's detail page and check the Access Permissions > API Gateway checkbox. For more details, see Create Sub Account.

Issuing authentication key

You don’t know where to issue the authentication key required to call APIs from a Sub Account.

Cause

Authentication keys can be issued from both the portal and the console. However, the Sub Account must be granted permission by the main account to view the relevant menu. If you don’t have permission, the authentication key menu is not displayed.

Solution

You can issue authentication keys from the console or the portal. However, the API Gateway permission must be granted to the Sub Account for the menu to appear.

Issuing from a Sub Account
To issue an authentication key from the Sub Account details, follow these steps:

  1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Sub Account > Sub Accounts menu in order.
  2. Click the Sub Account you want to manage, then click the [Access key] tab.
    • If the [Access key] tab is not visible, ask the main account to assign API Gateway access permission.
  3. Click the [Add] button.

Issuing from the console
To issue an authentication key from the console, follow these steps

  1. Click the My Account > Account and Security Management > Security Management > Access Management menu in the upper-right corner of the console screen.
    • If the authentication key management menu is not visible, ask the main account to assign API Gateway access permission.
  2. Click the [Create New Authentication Key] button.
