Location describes how to set the location modules to stratify the space and store and manage space data per each stratum.

Location screen

The Location interface includes the following components:

Field Description
① Menu name Current menu name.
② Basic features The features displayed when you first enter the Location menu.
  • [Create location]: Click to create location. (See Create location)
  • [Features and pricing information]: Click to go to the ARC eye service overview page.
  • [Refresh]: Reload the current page.
③ Project name Select the projects that need location task in the dropdown list.
④ Post-creation features The features displayed after a location module is created.
  • [Edit location]: Click to edit the location created. (See Edit location.)
  • [Delete location]: Click to delete the location created. (See Delete location.)
⑤ Location information Structure, name of each stratum, and module description information of the created location

Create location

You can create modules within a created project to stratify the space. To create a build project:

  1. Navigate to i_menu > Services > Digital Twin > ARC eye in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Navigate to Visual Localization > Location .
  3. Select the project to create location in and click [Create location] .
  4. Enter the name of the location and the number of segmented layers of the module and click [Add module] .
    • The module that reflects the entered number of strata is created.
    • The strata can be added up to 7.
    • Every time you click [Add module], a new module is added. But, if you add with a change in the number of strata, the change will be reflected on the existing modules as well.
    • To delete an added module, click the checkbox of the highest layer of the module to be deleted and click [Delete module] .
  5. Enter the name and description of the created segment.
    • You cannot use the same name within the same module.
  6. To add segments, click [Add layer n] next to the target segment.
    • Every time you click [Add layer n], the same layer or lower layer is added.
    • To delete a segment, click the i-arceye-delete1.png next to the segment to be deleted.
  7. Click [Create] after entering segments.
  8. Once the Create location pop-up window appears, click [OK] .
Note
  • You can only create 1 location per project.
  • A location can have max. 8 strata (1 location name (1 stratum) + max. additional 7 strata).
  • The segment name of the location module is registered as the task name in the VL Tasks menu. You cannot change the segment name after working on the VL Tasks menu. (the enter field becomes gray.)

Edit location

You can edit the created location. To modify them:

The segment that has undergone VL Task cannot be edited.

  1. Navigate to i_menu > Services > Digital Twin > ARC eye in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Navigate to Visual Localization > Location .
  3. Select the project to edit location with and click [Edit location] .
  4. Click [Edit] after editing the information.
  5. Once the Edit location pop-up window appears, review the content and click [OK] .

Delete location

You can delete the created locations. To delete it:

  • The segment that has undergone VL Task cannot be deleted.
  • The deleted location cannot be recovered, so be sure to decide carefully.
  1. Navigate to i_menu > Services > Digital Twin > ARC eye in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Navigate to Visual Localization > Location .
  3. Select the project to delete a location from and click [Delete location] .
  4. Once the Delete location pop-up window appears, review the content and click [Delete] .
