Available in Classic and VPC
In the Domains menu, you can register pre-validated domains for Domain Control Validation (DCV), check the required DNS records for validation, and manage validated domains for reuse during the validity period. This method can only be used when issuing Advanced certificate.
To access the Domains menu, access the NAVER Cloud Platform console and navigate to [Console] > Menu > Services > Security > Certificate Manager > Domains.
Configure the Domains menu
The Domains menu includes the following components:

| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| ① Menu name | Shows the current menu name and the total number of registered domains. |
| ② Basic features | Default actions provided in the Domains menu.
|
| ③ Delete | Deletes the selected domain from the list (see Delete domain). |

View the registered domain information
To view the details and validation status of each domain in the list of the Domains menu:
- From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > Services > Security > Certificate Manager.
- Click Domains in the left menu.
- In the domain list, check the following:
- Domain number: Unique identification number for each domain.
- Domain name: Domain address to be validated.
- Domain mapping organization number: Organization number associated with the domain.
- When set, it enhances security as an OV certificate is only issued with the specified organization information for that domain.
- Validation method: Displays the selected DNS validation method.
- Persistent DNS TXT
- DNS TXT (token method)
- Issuance platform: Information about the underlying system where the certificate is issued (currently exposed based on the console).
- Validation status: Shows the ownership validation stage for the domain.
- Validated: DCV is successful.
- Issues certificates without further validation for that domain and its subdomains or wildcard domains until the Expiration date and time.
- Validation in progress: The domain is registered but not yet validated.
- If validation is not completed within 72 hours, it changes to Validation failed.
- Validation failed: Validation failed because it was not completed within 72 hours or the DNS record value didn't match.
- Expired: No longer valid because the validity period has expired (9 or 199 days).
- Validated: DCV is successful.
- Request date and time: The date and time when the domain validation request was recorded.
- Validation date and time: The final date and time when the validation was completed (Succeeded).
- Expiration date and time: The expiration deadline for the domain validation information.
How to register a domain
You can register a domain in the following two ways:
- Register directly from the Domains menu.
- Automatically register through the certificate issuance process.
1. Register directly from the Domains menu.
Follow the steps to register a domain:
- Click the [Register domain] button at the top of the menu, then enter the domain to register.
- Since you can issue certificates for all subdomains and wildcard domains by validating the parent domain, it is more efficient to register the parent domain.
- Select a Domain Control Validation (DCV) method to verify your authority to issue certificates.
- Persistent DNS TXT recommended.
- (Optional) You can select and map active organization information to the domain.
- When selected, you can only issue OV certificates for the mapped organization, preventing certificates from being issued with incorrect organization information.
2. Automatically register through the certificate issuance process.
When you enter a new domain during the certificate application process, the domain is automatically added to the Domains menu.
Although it is generally restricted to register a duplicate entry for an already validated domain, it may be allowed if a different validation method is used.
Delete a domain
Precautions when deleting domain information are as follows:
- It is no longer possible to issue certificates using the deleted domain information.
- If a certificate is in the issuance stage using the domain information while in the Validation in progress state, deleting the domain will cause the final certificate issuance to fail.
