In Export Log, you can enable or disable the automatic export of logs collected from Cloud Log Analytics to Object Storage. You can also view the history of automatic export settings and export execution.

Export log screen

The following is a basic description of the Export Log menu for Cloud Log Analytics:

Area Description
① Menu name Name of the menu currently being viewed, and the number of history items being viewed
② Basic features Automatic export enable or disable, and refresh the page
③ Tab menu Select the history you want to view between setting information and Export execution history.
④ List List and information of the history that is being viewed

Automatic export settings

Logs collected from Cloud Log Analytics can be automatically exported to Object Storage.

  • To use automatic export to Object Storage, you must first subscribe to Object Storage and create a bucket in the same Region. For more information on Object Storage, see the Object Storage user guide.
  • The exported data is saved in JSON format.
  • The process takes approximately 10 minutes per 1 GB and may vary depending on circumstances.

To set up automatic export to Object Storage, follow these steps:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Log Analytics in order.
  2. Click the Export log menu.
  3. Click the [Edit automatic export settings] button.
  4. When the automatic export settings screen appears, select Automatic export method, select the bucket where you want to store the log data, and select the type of the log you want to export in Select log.
  5. Click the [Save] button.
    • Starting from the following day after setup, the data from the day before will be backed up every day at dawn.

Disable automatic export

To disable automatic export to the set Object Storage, follow these steps:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Log Analytics in order.
  2. Click the Export log menu.
  3. Click the [Disable automatic export] button.
  4. When the Disable automatic export popup window appears, click the [Disable settings] button.
  5. Click [OK].
    • The automatic export setup is disabled and it is applied from the following day.

Export execution history

To view the history of automatic and manual export to Object Storage, follow these steps:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Log Analytics in order.
  2. Click the Export log menu.
  3. Click the [Export execution history] tab to view the history.
    • Export time: time when exported to Object Storage
    • Type: export type
      • Manual: manually exported by user
      • Automatic: automatically exported with automatic export settings
    • Target bucket: bucket set to export data
    • Folder name: folder name created in Object Storage to save the exported data
    • Export log type: log type with export settings set
    • Total number of files: total number of files that have run export
    • Number of failed files: the number of files that failed export
    • Progress: export progress
    • Status: status of exporting task process
      • Complete: done
      • Processing: in progress
      • Fail: failed
    • Description: reasons for failing to export to Object Storage
Note
  • Limits the number of data to be exported: if the number of data to be exported is more than 500 million, it will not be executed.
  • In the case of large-scale logs, if the export is not completed by 5:00 PM on the day of execution, it will be considered an abnormal execution and will be forced to fail.
  • A new way of automatic export does not have limits on the number of export and execution time.
  • In a new way of automatic export, log files are separated and stored by log type/time.

View export details

  • The base time for time values (@timestamp) in files downloaded from search results export and automatic export, or downloaded to Object Storage is UTC.
  • When using the time value (@timestamp), consider the standard time of the country you are currently in use (Example: Korea, UTC+09:00).
