Cloud Connect refers to the point where an external dedicated line enters the NAVER Cloud Platform. To connect this link to your VPC, you must create a Virtual Private Gateway (VGW) and a Virtual Private Gateway Group (VGWG). For detailed information about VGWs and VGWGs, see the Virtual Private Gateway guide.

Caution

An on-premises network that overlaps with 100.64.0.0/10 cannot be connected through IPsec VPN or Cloud Connect.

Create Cloud Connect

To create Cloud Connect:

Before creating Cloud Connect, review the pricing and schedule for dedicated line provisioning with your NAVER Cloud Platform sales representative to ensure a smooth process.

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Click Region & Platform at the upper right of the console interface.
  3. Select the Region in use and the platform, and then click [Apply].
  4. At the upper left of the console interface, Click the icon i_menu.
  5. Navigate to Services > Networking > Cloud Connect.
  6. Click Cloud Connect (New).
  7. Click [Create Cloud Connect].
  8. When the Cloud Connect interface appears, perform the following steps:

1. Enter Cloud Connect creation information

Enter the Cloud Connect creation details, and then click [Next].

  • Cloud Connect name: Specify a Cloud Connect name to identify the connection.
  • Virtual Private Gateway Group: Select a previously created VGWG. If other IPsec VPN or dedicated line connections exist, communication does not work when on-premises network address ranges overlap.
  • Port bandwidth: Select the bandwidth for the Cloud Connect port. The following bandwidth options are available, and pricing varies by bandwidth.
    (50 / 100 / 200 / 300 /400 / 500 Mbps, 1 / 2 / 5 / 10 Gbps)

2. Enter dedicated line and routing information

Enter information about the dedicated line to connect to Cloud Connect. Based on the entered information, an application for the dedicated line is submitted, and the dedicated line costs provided by each carrier are communicated separately. Provisioning the line may take at least four weeks.

Note

CCMP(Cloud Connect Management Partner)
A CCMP is a dedicated line partner for providing Ncloud Cloud Connect services, and NAVER Cloud and the CCMP jointly deliver high-quality one-stop services for line provisioning, changes, and incident handling.

  • Location: Select the NAVER Cloud Platform zone to connect to the on-premises environment. Pyeongchon, Gasan, Daejeon, and Busan are supported.
  • Line redundancy: Select whether to enable dedicated line redundancy.
  • Preferred ISP: Select your preferred ISP. If you require carrier redundancy, specify different carriers.
    If you select price bidding, the provider offering the lowest quote among the CCMP submissions is selected for provisioning.
    If your preferred ISP is not listed, select Other and enter the carrier name.
  • Dedicated line bandwidth: Enter the required bandwidth in Mbps. It must be less than or equal to the Cloud Connect port bandwidth.
  • Route type: Select a route type. You can select Static or BGP. If you select BGP, enter the Autonomous System Number (ASN) used on-premises and the BGP password.
  • Customer-side serial IP:
  • NCP-side serial IP:

3. Enter contract information

Enter the following contract information for dedicated line provisioning:

  • Contract term: Select the contract term for the dedicated line. You can select 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years.
  • Provisioning date: Enter the desired provisioning date. Typically, dedicated line provisioning takes at least four weeks.
  • Contact name: Enter the name of a contact person who can be reached for dedicated line provisioning.
  • Contact information: Enter the contact information of the designated contact person.
  • On-premise address: Enter the detailed address where the dedicated line is connected.

4. Conduct final review

Verify that the provisioning information is entered correctly, and then click [Create].
If you agree after reviewing the personal information collection notice for the contact name and contact information entered in step 3, read and agree to the Cloud Connect personal information collection notice. Select the checkbox and click [OK].

Edit Cloud Connect

To edit Cloud Connect settings:

  1. In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Networking > Cloud Connect.
  2. Click Cloud Connect (New).

Delete Cloud Connect

To delete Cloud Connect:

  1. In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Networking > Cloud Connect.
  2. Click Cloud Connect (New).
  3. Select the Cloud Connect to delete and click [Delete Cloud Connect].
Note

If the contract term for the dedicated line remains, you cannot delete Cloud Connect.
