Using Cloud Data Box allows you access to NAVER's wealth of data including search results, shopping data, and AI data. Analyze the high-volume data and leverage the results for your business. The following scenarios describe how to analyze data and generate analysis results using Cloud Data Box.
1. Create data box
Go to NAVER Cloud Platform console and select the data type and infrastructure service you need to create a data box.
For more information on how to create a data box, see Create Cloud Data Box.
2. Configure data box access
You need access to SSL VPN and Connect Server to perform data analysis. Analytical tools such as Cloud Hadoop and TensorFlow must be configured as well.
For more information on how to set up a server to access your data box, see Configure data box access.
3. View sample data and install additional modules
Access the created infrastructure service to view sample data and install additional modules required for data analysis. As all external network connections are blocked once a data supply request has been made, request additional data and/or install modules on your data box before submitting your data supply request.
For more information on how to access the infrastructure service to view sample data, see View search data.
4. Request data supply
Submit a data supply request to receive the data for analysis. Once a data supply request has been made, the requested data is shared in a read-only NAS mounted on Cloud Hadoop and Ncloud TensorFlow Server. The request submission also blocks all external network connections.
For more information on how to request data supply, see Supply data.
5. Request file import
If you need to import a file after all connections with external networks are blocked, request file import. You can then import the file you wanted via the NAS you signed up for when creating your data box.
For more information on how to request file import, see Import/export files.
6. Analyze data
Access the infrastructure service of Cloud Data Box and perform an analysis with the data provided by the service. For more information on how to analyze data, see the user guide of the respective analytics service.
7. Subscribe to Insight Option
With Insight Option, you can receive the latest 2 years' worth of data for the duration of your contract. (The data accumulation period starts from 2 years and 1 month before the request submission date and ends at 1 month before the same date.) Your contract is valid for 12 months. If you need up-to-date data for your data analysis with Cloud Data Box, subscribe to Insight Option.
For more information on how to subscribe to Insight Option, see Supply data.
8. Subscribe to Insight Pro Option
Subscribers to Insight Option can subscribe to Insight Pro Option and receive additional user group unit data of searches and shopping.
9. Request analysis results export
Once your analysis has been completed, you can export its results by requesting file export. Note that you cannot export source data. Only analysis results can be exported. The files requested to be exported are stored in your Object Storage bucket.
For more information on how to request file export, see Import/export files.
10. Return data box
You can return your data box if you no longer use it. If you have an unexpired Insight Option or Insight Pro Option contract, a penalty will incur upon cancellation.
For more information on how to return data boxes, see Getting started with Cloud Data Box.
