This section describes the interface layout of the Cost Insight menu and how to view the usage costs of NAVER Cloud Platform services in detail.

Cost Insight interface

The Cost Insight interface includes the following components:

Component Description
① Menu name Current menu name.
② Basic features Cost Insight features.
  • [Learn more]: Go to the Cost Explorer overview page.
  • [Refresh]: Reload the current page.
    • Refreshing the interface initializes configured conditions.
  • [Open]: Click to open the service overview component.
③ View period Set the period for which to view service usage costs.
Download Excel Click to download the detailed cost history as an Excel file.
  • The detailed cost history displayed depending on the group type you selected in Group by is extracted.
Set filter Click to display the filter settings component.
  • Once clicked, the filter settings component appears on the right side of the interface, allowing you to configure filters.

  • For more information about each item, see View costs.
  • [Close]: Click to close the filter settings component.
  • [Initialize]: Click to initialize the filter you set.
Monthly graph Displays a graph of monthly service usage costs.
  • Costs are shown in the billing currency.
  • If a negative value item (discount rate) is selected in the charge type, a negative component is displayed in the graph.
Group by Use the dropdown menu to select the group type of detailed cost items (Charge type, Account, Service, Billing item group, and Billing item) for filtering.

Monthly breakdown graph If you place the mouse cursor over a certain month, you can view the billed costs for the month based on the selection in Group by.

View costs

To view service usage costs in graphs and tables by setting the period, filters, and group type:

  1. In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Management & Governance > Cost Explorer.
  2. Click Cost Insight.
  3. Set the conditions for viewing service usage costs.
    • The view conditions are immediately applied, allowing you to instantly check the cost information based on the settings.
    • You can set the view period based on recent data by clicking the [Last 3 months]/[Last 6 months]/[Last 12 months], or you can manually set the view period by clicking the [Custom setting].
      • You can set the period to view for up to 12 months.
    Note

    When you change the view period after setting filters, the filters are reset. Set the view period first, then apply the filters.

    • Click the [Filter Settings] to set the account, service-specific billing item group, and charge type for viewing costs.
      • In Account, select the account for which you want to view the costs.
        • The master account of the Organization service can search for member accounts by email address or member number in the dropdown menu and select both its own account and member accounts.
        • General accounts or member accounts of the Organization service only display their own account in the dropdown menu, and you can only view the costs in your account.
      • In Service-specific billing item group, click to select the service billing item for which you want to view costs.
        • Only service billing items that have incurred costs are displayed in the dropdown menu.
        • You can search by the service name.
      • Click to select the charge type in Charge type of the costs you want to view.
        • You can search by charge type name.
    • From the dropdown menu in Group by, you can select the group type of the costs you want to view. The details displayed at the bottom of the graph change according to the selected group type.
      • Items with no cost are displayed as 0.
      • Items with no costs to display are shown as "-."
      • Items that do not match the set filter conditions are displayed as information not available under the selected conditions.
      • If there are no costs to sum (either all items are "-" or there are no items to display), N/A is displayed in Total.
    • Hovering over the graph allows you to see the detailed cost of each item for that month in descending order of amount.
      • Up to 15 detailed items are displayed. Additional items beyond that are indicated as "and n more items," and items with a value of 0 are displayed.
