If you've checked the specifications required by the Data Catalog and duly noted usage scenarios and glossary, you're ready to start using Data Catalog. The very next step is to apply to use Data Catalog.

Request subscription

The following is how to request Data Catalog on the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
2. From the Platform menu, click and select VPC.
3. Click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menus, in that order.
4. Click the [Request subscription] button.
5. Check the details in the notification popup window, and then click the [Create] button.

Cancel subscription

You can cancel the subscription application from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

The following describes how to cancel subscription.

1. In the VPC environment of NAVER Cloud Platform Console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menus, in that order.
2. Click the Subscription menu.
3. Click the [Subscribing] button, and then click Cancel subscription.
4. Check the details in the cancellation popup window, and then click the [Cancel] button.

Reload

If the catalog connection is unstable, or if the catalog status is normal but the scanner does not operate normally or the database is not created, catalog setting information can be reloaded to normalize the connection.

The following shows how to reload catalog.

1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Data Catalog menu, in that order.
2. Click the Subscription menu.
3. Click the [Reload] button.
4. When the notification popup window appears, check the cautions and click [Run reload].
   • During Reload, the status of the catalog is displayed as Resetting.
   • When the reload is complete, the status of the catalog is displayed as normal.
