Available in VPC
You can upload the target data to be analyzed to a shared NAS and supply the data to Datafence through data group settings. You can also set the data to be viewed differently by box using the data group.
This section describes how to control the provision of the target data to be analyzed by adding or deleting the data group in Data Manager.
Data Manager interface
The Data Manager interface includes the following components:

View date group information
To view details of each data group:
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Datafence. - Click the Data Manager menu.
- Click a data group in the list to view its details.
- Fence name: Datafence name to which the data group is applied.
- Data group name: Name of the data group.
- Name of included NAS: Name of the shared NAS included in the data group.
- Total capacity: Total capacity of the data group (GB).
- Creation date and time: Date and time when the data group was added.
- Memo: Memo entered during data group creation.
- Up to 50 characters can be entered.
Add data group
To add a new data group:
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Datafence. - Click the Data Manager menu.
- Click [Add data group] in the top of the interface.
- In the Add data group popup, enter the data group information.
- Data group name: Enter the name of the data group.
- You can enter 3–30 characters using lowercase English letters, numbers, and the hyphen (-). The name must start with a lowercase letter and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
- Fence to be applied: The name of the Datafence to which the data group is applied. Automatically applied when only 1 Datafence exists.
- Volume of shared NAS to be included: Select 1-20 shared NAS you want to include in the data group.
- Data group description: Enter a description of the data group.
- Data group name: Enter the name of the data group.
- Click [OK].
- You have successfully added the data group.
Delete data group
To delete an existing data group:
Note
- A data group currently being viewed cannot be deleted.
- Deleting a data group removes only the group itself. The actual data is not deleted. To delete the data, access the Datafence server to delete it manually.
- In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Datafence. - Click the Data Manager menu.
- Select the group you want to delete from the data group list and click [Delete data group].
- In the Delete popup, click [OK].
- You have successfully deleted the data group.
