Available in VPC

You can request the import of external files and custom data required for the data analysis environment into a box. After you upload the file to NAVER Cloud Platform's Object Storage bucket, you can request file import.

Import interface

The Import interface includes the following components:

Component Description
① Menu name Current menu name.
② Basic features Import features.
  • [Learn more]: Go to the Datafence overview page.
  • [Refresh]: Reload the current page.
③ Datafence tab Displays Datafence created. Click to select the corresponding Datafence.
Request import Request importing files uploaded to the Object Storage bucket
⑤ Search filter Filter the displayed list in accordance with the box name, the import status, and the import request date and time
⑥ List of import requests List of import requests
  • No.: Unique number assigned to the import request.
  • Box name: Name of the box into which the file is imported.
  • Target NAS: Name of the NAS in the box where the file is imported.
  • Source bucket: Name of the Object Storage bucket from which the file is imported.
  • Source file: Name of the file requested for import.
  • Import status: Current status of the file import.
    • Import requested (file transfer not yet started): File import is requested.
    • Import requested (file transfer in progress): The file required for import is being copied to NAS within the box.
    • Import completed: File import has been completed successfully.
    • Error (file): Import failed due to a file error.
    • Error (security check): Import failed due to a security inspection.
    • Error (system error): Import failed due to an internal system error.
  • Import request date and time: Date and time when the file import is requested.
  • Import completion date and time: Date and time when the file import was completed.
  • Select an item to view file import request details.

View file import list

To view details of the list of external file import requests:

  1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Datafence.
  2. Click the Import menu.
  3. Click an item in the import review list to view its details.
    • Box name: Name of the box into which the file is imported.
    • Target NAS: Name of the NAS in the box where the file is imported.
    • Source bucket: Name of the Object Storage bucket from which the file is imported.
    • Source file: Name of the file requested for import.
    • Import status: Current status of the file import.
      • Import requested (file transfer not yet started): File import is requested.
      • Import requested (file transfer in progress): The file required for import is being copied to NAS within the box.
      • Import completed: File import has been completed successfully.
      • Error (file): Import failed due to a file error.
      • Error (security check): Import failed due to a security inspection.
      • Error (system error): Import failed due to an internal system error.
    • Import request date and time: Date and time when the file import is requested.
    • Import completion date and time: Date and time when the file import was completed.
      • Only displayed when the import status is import completed.
    • Memo: Memo entered during file import request.
      • Up to 50 characters can be entered.

Request file import

To request the import of external files into Datafence:

  1. In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > Datafence.
  2. Click the Import menu.
  3. Click [Request import] in the top of the interface.
  4. Enter request information in the Request import popup.
    • Data box name: Select the box for file import.
    • Files to import
      • Source bucket: Select the Object Storage bucket that contains the files to import.
        • If no bucket has been created, click [Go to Create Object Storage bucket] to create an Object Storage bucket and upload the file.
      • Source file: Enter the name of the file to import and click [Add].
        • You can request importing up to 10 files simultaneously, and the maximum size per file is 2 GB or less.
    • Target NAS to store: Select the NAS within the box where the imported files will be stored.
    • Memo: Enter a memo describing the file to be imported. Up to 50 characters.
  5. Click [OK].
    • The file import request is registered.
    • Imports are processed in bulk without review, and files are immediately available in the target NAS.
  6. Check the imported file.
    Note
    • The name of the file imported is specified as {import number}_{file name}.
    • You can view the import number in Datafence > Import > View import No from the console.
