Available in VPC

You can easily analyze data from data sources using the Data Query service on NAVER Cloud Platform. You can learn more about Data Query by referring to Getting started with Data Query, but we recommend you to first read through the Data Query scenario from beginning to end. After you take a look at these usage scenarios and see how to use Data Query service, you can make better use of it. The entire usage process and step-by-step descriptions of Data Query service are as follows:

1. Set usage permissions
2. Add data source
3. Write query
4. Execute query
5. Check query execution result

1. Set usage permissions

If you need to manage and share Data Query service with multiple users, you can set permissions for each user. You can configure the permissions as administrator and user through Sub Account in NAVER Cloud Platform, and roles can be defined for each permission. The setting of usage permissions is not mandatory, so you can configure or remove them at any time when there is a need for permissions during the use of Data Query service. (Usage permissions can be configured after 04/25/2024)

Note

Sub Account is a free service provided upon subscription request without additional charge. For a detailed description of Sub Account and its pricing plans, see the Services > Management & Governance > Sub Account in NAVER Cloud Platform portal.

2. Add data source

Add data sources for analysis. Data sources scanned by the Data Catalog service are automatically added and listed. You can refer to the following user guide:

3. Write query

Write queries to process data for the desired purpose. You can automatically input queries for table preview, deletion, and DDL creation through provided functions. Additionally, you can write queries using provided template queries. You can refer to the following user guide:

4. Execute query

Execute the written queries. Before executing, you can use the simulate execution feature to preview the amount of data that will be scanned. Moreover, you can execute queries efficiently by reusing the results of previously executed queries. You can refer to the following user guide:

5. Check query execution result

Check the results of executed queries. The results of query executions are immediately available in the result area of the Query Editor menu, and you can also create charts using the result metrics. The Query History menu allows you to check the query execution history and results, and you can see detailed step-by-step execution information through the execution structure diagram. You can refer to the following user guide:
